"Gosh, we almost got caught there! This is all your fault, Mallory! Get ready for me in the office," he warned her, as if she could hear it.

He went back inside the bar. He forgot he was with someone.

"What happened to that woman?" His cousin Zian immediately asked when he sat down.

He sat on the stool next to him and ordered a shot of rum.

"Nothing. She left. Sorry if I took so long—my secretary called again," he excused himself.
