FIFTY EIGHT

Nicholas drove the car to into the compound, parked it properly then climbed out of it, not waiting for Ashley or Jenny. He slammed the door close and headed for the house blinded by fury and pain. Behind him, he could hear Jenny calling out to him but he didn’t reply. He simply stormed inside and walked straight up the stairs but instead of going into his room, he headed for Malvika's room instead. He waits, forced himself to take in deep breaths to calm himself then knocked on the door.

The door was immediately thrown open by Malvika. She looked stunned to see Nicholas standing by her door. “Oh,” she said. “Oh….hi….hi. You are…..Come in?” she said.

“Thanks,” he replied, briskly brushing himself in while Malvika closed the door behind her.
