FIFTY SEVEN

Jayden pushed the door to his house open and he walks in with Diane right on his heels. As soon as he stepped inside the room, he whirled around, grabbed Diane by her waist and slammed his lips across hers.

Diane, resisting the urge to cringe backwards, reluctantly raised her hands and wrapped it around his neck. She forced her lips to move in sync with his. As he kissed her, parting her lips with his tongue, all she heard was her own even breathing and Jayden's pants. He seemed to be more into the kiss than she was – actually, he was more info the kiss than she was, grabbing her waist, skimming his hands across her bare it. Even as his hands slid up from her waist to her neck, angling her head to deepen the kiss, all Diane could think of was Nicholas’ tearful face as he pleaded for her to come back to him.

Did she do the right thing? Did it make sense to be dating Jayden, someone she obviously considered as nothing more than a friend? No of course not. Yet
