Jenny slouched on the couch, her lower body positioned by the edge of the couch. There was a table beside her and on the table was a bottle of whiskey with an half filled glass. Jenny knocked on the door patiently. Although, her face looked sad, her insides were dancing for joy. She was finally going to have a hold over Jayden, even if it would be for a short period of time. Jenny sat in her car, a worried look on her face as she rubbed her forehead tiredly. She scrolled through her phone, clicking on Ashley's number, dialing it and placing the phone close to her ear. She willed Ashley to pick up. After three rings, Ashley answered the call. "Jenny!" she said. "How are you?""Hey Ash. I've been trying to reach you since yesterday night.""Oh. What's up?""I have a problem," she said. "I went to Jayden's house last night to tell him I was pregnant.""Did he believe it?" Ashley asked. "I don't even understand. At first, he was so bothered. Drawing in a deep breath, Jenny pushed the door to her car open and climbed out. She adjusted her skirt, dragging the hems down as she looked up at the hospital. She drew in a shaky breath. She couldn't believe that it would come to this. She thought Jayden would just accept her word for it. But he didn't do that. No. Instead, he insisted that she come to the hospital for a check up. Her heart was thumping loudly in her chest. If Jayden ever found out that she lied to him, he would hate her forever and she couldn't bear for that to happen. She loved him, maybe a little too much. Why was he so hard for him to love her back? She asked herself as she walked into the hospital. With her heart beating loudly in her chest, she looked around and her eyes landed on Jayden. Saturday evening and Diane was nearly fainting from exhaustion. She was walking around the living room, barking orders at the servants and trying to make the decorations perfect. Two of the men servants had climbed a table, hanging a banner that boldly read, "CONGRATULATIONS, IT'S A BOY." Some of the servants were busy dusting chairs and tables. Yeah, you guessed right. It was the baby shower today and Diane was literally obsessing over it. Every thing had to be perfect. Every thing had to be spick and span. She couldn't leave any stone unturned. It didn't matter that only the family was going to attend. She still wanted it to be perfect. She turned around. "Varla!" she called one of the servants, who immediately came running to her. By six o'clock in the evening, everyone – Diane, Natasha, Nicholas, Jenny, Paul, Alyssa, Mark, Grace and Olivia, Haley, Sharon and Malvika were gathered around. Malvika was seated on the couch, in between Diane and Nicholas who both had inviting smiles on their faces. Everyone was presenting their gift and it was so heartwarming. Mark and Grace and bought her a baby cot. Haley and Sharon had both contributed money to get her a baby monitor. Other gifts included some baby boys clothes, feeders, pram and so on. Of course, these people didn't yet know that Malvika was planning to pass the baby on to Diane. All through the event, Jenny kept staring at Malvika, a confused look on her face. Why were they throwing a baby shower? Was Diane aware that Nicholas's was the father of the baby? She was beginning to suspect that Malvika didn't tell the truth of the story to Diane. With a frown on her face, Diane read the message repeatedly as though she couldn’t believe her eyes. Ashley was in trouble and she thought to text her, Diane? That made absolutely no sense at all.
