Nick’s POV

I rushed back to the office after receiving a call from Dominic. I went straight there right from the airport. The moment I arrived, the weight of exhaustion finally hit me. I hadn’t slept at all, my head throbbed and I felt weak.

As I sank into my chair, I glanced at the pile of documents stacked on my desk. But before I could even begin reading, my secretary walked in and spoke.

“Sir, your friend Mr. Nathan called. He said he has something important to tell you.”

“Nathan,” I muttered.

I let out a deep sigh and leaned back in my chair. Nathan, my closest friend. A hacker from England.

Back when I was angry at Dad and had no plans of returning to the Philippines, I threw myself into studying anything and everything while abroad. I kept asking Dad for money to enroll in different programs. Not once did he complain. He’d always say:

"Whatever you want to be, I’ll support you."

I used to think it was because he felt guilty. But now I understand, it wasn’t guilt. He never comp
