Chapter 29

Jessica's POV

The sandwich Sir Nick made and the noodles were delicious.

I ate all of it, turns out I was really hungry. I started feeling better afterward, and the dizziness was gone.

After eating, I cleaned up the dishes and washed them.

I wandered around his condo. It was spacious, very masculine, and had a minimalist design. There was nothing fancy about it, no wall décor, just some plants. It felt lifeless somehow, like something was missing. But overall, it was well-designed. There was a large black sofa, and on the right side of the room, there was a treadmill and some gym equipment. The whole condo followed a simple color scheme, gray and black.

I had already circled the condo a few times, but Nick still hadn’t come out of his room.

"Maybe he fell asleep?" I thought.

I decided to knock. After two knocks, there was still no answer.
