I nervously followed behind Sir Nick. My sister, Andrea, saw me. I'm in trouble. I thought she was in Europe for a business meeting. Dad doesn’t even know that I’m working for George, let alone for Nicholas. Our family and Nick’s family are in the same line of business. Yes, I am not a typical secretary. I am the daughter of Elmer Laviste and Matilda Laviste, the owners of Laviste Land Inc. My sister, Andrea Laviste, is a sharp businesswoman and the reason our company has grown even more. They never let me handle our company because they want me to focus on painting and the arts. To them, I am weak and not good at business, so they entrusted it all to my sister, Andrea. What they don’t know is that I’ve been working for George for almost a year now. I wanted to surprise them. I wanted to prove that I also have value in business, that I can help them, and that they can rely on me. I paced back and forth inside my room. I couldn’t stay still. What should I do? Dad might find out and send me home. That can’t happen. I still have so much to prove. And I can’t leave Sir Nicholas. I am a professional, and I don’t abandon my work. “I need to talk to my sister Andrea. Yes, I need to talk to her.” I hurried out of my room and went straight to the reception. I needed to find my sister’s room. Good thing Sir Nick wasn’t around. he was at the gym. "Hello, Miss, can I ask for the room number of Miss Andrea Laviste?" I quickly asked the receptionist. "Sorry, Ma’am, we are not allowed to disclose our.." "I am her sister," I interrupted before she could finish. "One moment, ma’am," she said, then made a call. "What is your name, ma’am?" she asked. "Jessica Laviste," I answered. "Room 205, ma’am, third floor," she replied. "Thank you!" I rushed into the elevator. After just one ring, my sister opened the door. "Get inside! What are you doing here?" she asked angrily. "Does Dad know you’re here? And why are you with Nicholas? Is he your boyfriend?" Her voice burned with fury. "Sis, no! He’s not my boyfriend." I saw her visibly relax when I said that. "So why are you with him?" she asked, her tone slightly calmer. "I’m his temporary secretary," I admitted. "What?! Secretary? Impossible! Nick never hires female secretaries because he despises them!" Her voice was so loud it nearly deafened me. "How did you become his secretary? Don’t tell me you’re one of his… fucking buddies’?" she asked, both angry and jealous. "Sis!, of course not!" I protested. "George recommended me to Nick. It’s only for four days, and then I won’t be his secretary anymore," I explained in detail. "Oh! So you and George are in on this together? That damn man. Why did he recommend you? Wait, you were supposed to be in London. Why are you here?" "It’s a long story. I work for George now. It’s complicated," I stammered, unsure where to start. "Go home. Right now!" she ordered authoritatively. "I can’t, Sis! Please, just two more days," I pleaded. She stared at me for a long time before sighing. It took her a while to speak again. "Okay, two days. Then you go home and admit everything to Dad, or else… you know what will happen." I happily hugged her and thanked her. I was about to leave when she suddenly said something. "Wait, can you save your paintings here? I have a friend who’s interested in your work. I want it now. Save it and bring it to me." "Yes!" I answered quickly, flustered. Excitedly, I grabbed the USB and rushed back to my room with Sir Nick. Luckily, he wasn’t back yet, so I was able to d******d pictures of my paintings from iCloud onto the USB. I hurried back to my sister’s room and gave it to her. When I returned to my room, I was surprised to see Sir Nick there, sweating as he drank water. He looked like he was in a commercial. I stared at him, mesmerized. "Where have you been?" His voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "With my sister… I mean, I got a blister," I blurted out. He stared at me, confused. Wait what? What did I say? "Excuse me, sir," I muttered before rushing to my room, clutching my chest. Shet, did he notice? Was it obvious that I was nervous? I took a deep breath and exhaled, still holding my chest. I grabbed my phone and called George. It rang twice before he picked up. "Hello, Jes! How are you?" he greeted cheerfully. "George, my sister is here. She saw me," I reported anxiously. "What? I thought she was in Europe! That’s why I was confident in letting you work for Nick," he said worriedly. "She’s here. Sorry, I accidentally mentioned your name to her. I was so confused. I didn’t know how to explain everything." "It’s okay. I’ll handle your sister. But did she make you go home?" he asked. "She told me to, right now. But I begged her for two more days. I explained everything, and she agreed." "Strange… that she agreed. Hmm… but you have to be careful," he warned. I didn’t understand why they were all warning me about my sister. Earlier, Sir Nick said the same thing. I said goodbye to George when I heard Sir Nick calling from outside. I opened the door and saw him fresh from a shower. "Let’s have dinner. We need to discuss tomorrow’s plans," he said before turning away. I hurriedly followed behind him.Audrey’s POVThree Months After Giving BirthI can’t stay still inside my room. I keep checking myself in the mirror, looking at the wedding gown we spent months dreaming about, and now, I’m finally wearing it. I’m nervous, but I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am. I guess this is really how it feels when you're about to get married, a whirlwind of emotions. Fear, nerves, joy, and that feeling like you could soar at any moment.“Audrey, wow!”Carly stops at the doorway. Her eyes widen, and she quickly covers her mouth with her hands. She walks toward me slowly, fighting back tears.“You look so lovely… so beautiful in your wedding gown,” she says, her voice trembling.I let out a laugh even though I’m on the verge of tears myself. “Damn, I don’t want to cry, I’ll ruin my makeup,” Carly complains, wiping her eyes.“Me too,” I say, forcing a chuckle. “Though they told me this mascara is waterproof.”“Are you ready?” she asks.I take a deep breath and nod slowly. “Let’s go.”
Nick’s POVSeven Months LaterThe loud sound of the heart monitor beep… beep… beep echoes through the room, each beat seeming to sync with the pounding of my own heart. I can feel the coldness in my hands as I grip Audrey’s hand tightly. I’m trying my best to stay strong, but inside, I’m trembling with nerves and fear.I see the struggle on her face, the sweat beads rolling down her temples, the strain in the veins of her neck, and how she’s fighting back tears. But even then, there’s a strength in her eyes the fierce courage of a mother ready to give her everything.“Just a few more pushes, Mommy! Baby is coming out!” the doctor says, excitement in her voice.I take a deep breath, forcing myself to stay calm.“Love, you can do this, okay? I’m here. Just breathe… please, breathe with me.”Inhale… exhale… inhale… exhale…As I say those words, I realize they aren’t just for her; they’re for me too, because I feel like I’m about to break from the pressure. Audrey grips me so hard her n
Nick’s POV“Love... uhhmm.” I can’t even describe the joy and pleasure I feel while Audrey is pleasuring me.Fuck, this is nothing like I imagined. This is far beyond amazing. She’s doing it slowly, and it’s driving me crazy in the best way possible. She’s teasing me with the way she tastes me. But with every movement, she makes me feel an indescribable bliss. She might not be an expert, but she gives me a unique kind of happiness, because she’s the woman I love and have longed for.“Audrey, Love... uhmm.” She’s being so careful, as if she’s afraid of hurting me.“Does it feel good, Love?” she asks. She looks worried, like she’s afraid she isn't doing it right.“So good, Love...” I confess, breathless. My heart is racing. As her eyes grow misty with desire, I can feel the heat in every stroke she gives me.“Aaahh.” I reach out and hold her hair as she begins to pick up the pace.“Huh!” I can’t believe my Audrey is doing this. I can’t contain my happiness.“Love... aaahh...” Fuck, I’m
Audrey’s POVAfter Nick gave me a tour of the cabin, we had breakfast together, simple, yet filled with laughter and gazes that lingered a little too long before we could look away. Now, we’re in the other room resting, but I can feel a distinct silence between us, a kind of stillness heavy with both desire and love. This room feels warm and inviting. The high ceilings and wooden beams lend a touch of rustic elegance, while the fire in the fireplace flickers gently, casting light and warmth all around us.We are sitting on the soft sofa, I’m leaning against Nick’s chest while he tenderly strokes my hair. We’re just quiet, but every touch of his speaks volumes. I close my eyes, savoring the moment. It's quiet, peaceful, yet so full of emotion. Outside, the view is breathtaking. When I open my eyes, he’s right there, looking at me with such depth. His eyes say everything, love, longing, and a desperate wish to never be lost again.“I love you,” he says softly, almost a whisper, but I f
Audrey’s POVI could barely speak, overwhelmed by happiness and emotion. Memories of every moment with Nick flashed through my mind. I hadn’t expected that he had hidden the ring all this time. My tears wouldn’t stop falling.“Love… will you spend the rest of your life with me?”“Together, we’ll face every challenge that comes our way. I want to be there for you, for better or worse, until our hair turns gray.”I nodded through my tears, extending my hand for him to slip the ring back onto my finger. I could feel it trembling slightly.“Yes… yes, Love.”Nick’s own eyes glistened as he carefully slid the ring onto my finger. He held my hands tightly, and together we stood. Bathed in the soft light of the rising sun, he made me feel the depth of his love.He leaned in and kissed me, gentle, soft, and deep, a kiss of promise, love, and gratitude. With every movement of his lips, I could feel his devotion. It was as if he was saying, I’ll protect you. I’ll take care of you. And I responde
Nick’s POV“Where are we going?” Audrey asked excitedly as we drove on. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she leaned back in her seat, smiling despite the obvious fatigue.“You’ll know once we’re there,” I replied with a smile, reaching for her hand and pressing a gentle kiss to it.“You can sleep, Love. It’s still a long drive. I’ll wake you when we arrive.”“I don’t want to stay awake, Love… but I’m really sleepy,” she murmured, her voice soft, drowsy, unbearably sweet.“I know, Love. It’s okay.”I pulled the car over to the side of the road.“Why did you stop?” she asked, puzzled.I smiled and leaned closer. Her eyes widened in surprise. I brought my face closer to hers, just one more inch and our lips would meet.“What are you planning to do?” she asked, half-joking, half-nervous, glancing around at the darkness of the early morning.“Here? In the middle of nowhere?”“Aaah!” she yelped when her seat suddenly reclined, lowering smoothly so she could lie comfortably.I laughed sof
