I was still focused on my laptop when I heard the doorbell ring. "Steak, beetroot, horseradish & warm lentil salad with Cabernet Sauvignon wine for Mr. Nicholas Ford, requested by Miss Jessica Laviste." My stomach growled the moment I saw the food. I had forgotten to order. I went straight to eat after the waiter left. I couldn't help but smile. Despite my temporary secretary's nonstop chatter and occasional mistakes, she was thoughtful. I almost choked on my food when I suddenly remembered how she looked earlier when her hand accidentally hit me. She jumped as if she had stepped on a sea urchin. And her sleepwear,. loose t-shirts and loose pajama pants. I must admit, she is beautiful. Beyond beautiful. And she has a sexy body. Wait, what? Am I praising her? No, no, no. Those qualities are perfect for a seductive secretary, and I must not fall victim. Never! I forced myself to push away any good thoughts I had about Jessica. I needed to stay focused. This project is crucial for the future of AMT Constructions. After eating, I organized my things and prepared for bed. I woke up early. When I stepped out of my room, I saw that breakfast was already prepared, and Jessica was fully dressed. I studied her appearance. She looked very professional. She was wearing stilettos, a blouse tucked into high-waisted trousers. Very beautiful. I quickly erased that thought from my mind about her being beautiful and approached the table seriously. "Good morning, Sir!" she greeted. "Is everything ready? Have you prepared all the materials I asked you to?" "Yes, Sir. Everything is set." "I don’t entertain mistakes at work. To me, mistakes mean incompetence. Am I clear?" "Copy, Sir!" she replied with a salute. I raised an eyebrow and finished my breakfast. We went down together to head to the conference room located on the second floor of the hotel. When we arrived, most of the guests were already there. Business tycoons, investors, engineers, and designers. "Stay close to me as much as possible," I whispered to Jessica. "How close, Sir?" she asked playfully. I glared at her. "I’m serious!" I emphasized. "I’m serious too, Sir. How close exactly? Because we might interpret ‘stay close’ differently," she replied. I took a deep breath to keep myself from snapping at her. "As long as I can see you and call you right away," I explained. "Copy, Sir!" she responded. I greeted several people before the event started. Some were business acquaintances, competitors, and new faces who could become future partners. "Mr. Ford, it’s nice seeing you again. I didn’t expect you to bring your beautiful girlfriend with you today," Mr. Rolando greeted cheerfully. He was one of our clients in the real estate business. "Mr. Rolando! It’s a pleasure to see you here! How are you? I’m so happy to see you again." "May I have the pleasure of meeting your girlfriend?" I smiled and introduced Jessica. "Mr. Rolando, meet Jessica, my secretary." Jessica shook hands with Mr. Rolando with a professional demeanor. "Oh! I thought she was your girlfriend. I must have misheard that you only hire male secretaries," he commented. "By the way, dear, do you have a boyfriend?" he asked Jessica. She shook her head professionally, smiling. "I love your smile. I can set you up with my son if you’re interested. My son doesn’t seem to have any plans to get married. I know for sure he’d like you. We have the same taste in women," Mr. Rolando said, half-joking but serious. Jessica just gave a shy laugh. I don’t know why, but his words annoyed me. I tried not to show it and changed the topic. Fortunately, he spotted someone he knew and turned his attention elsewhere. I shot Jessica a sharp glare. Instead of being intimidated, she just glared back at me, as if asking, What? I ignored it. I talked to several more people, and the business conference went well. It ended earlier than expected. As we were leaving the conference room, we ran into Andrea Laviste. "Hello, babe," she greeted me, casually brushing her hand against my arm. "You’re here!" I said. "Of course, you’re here," she replied flirtatiously. I just chuckled at her joke. "Let’s have dinner together. You’ve been rejecting me lately. For old times’ sake. The conference ended early anyway," she invited. "Your dad might think you’re leaking your company’s secrets to me. Remember, we’re business rivals. You have a huge responsibility in your company," I teased. "You’re such a killjoy, Nick. My dad knows we’re friends. We were classmates and fuu...ture partners," she said, winking at me. I looked around for Jessica, who had gone to the restroom. I wanted to leave Andrea’s presence as soon as possible. Well, Andrea is a gorgeous and intelligent woman, but there was something about her that turned me off back when we were studying abroad. We were classmates in business school—or rather, we flirted a bit at that time. But when I got turned off, I distanced myself from her. Unfortunately, it seemed like she really fell for me and still hoped I’d give her attention. "You’re here. Let’s go," I said as soon as I saw Jessica. She seemed surprised to see Andrea, and I noticed Andrea’s eyes narrow at her. I raised an eyebrow. Hmm. "Andrea, it was nice seeing you here. I’ll be going ahead," I said, signaling Jessica to follow me. Andrea stared at Jessica with hostility and didn’t respond. Jessica, on the other hand, looked down as if afraid and quickly followed me. "Do you know her?" I asked. "Yes," she replied shortly. "I didn’t know you were familiar with this business circle. Be careful with her," I warned. She looked at me questioningly, but I ignored it and quickly stepped into the elevator.Audrey’s POVThree Months After Giving BirthI can’t stay still inside my room. I keep checking myself in the mirror, looking at the wedding gown we spent months dreaming about, and now, I’m finally wearing it. I’m nervous, but I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am. I guess this is really how it feels when you're about to get married, a whirlwind of emotions. Fear, nerves, joy, and that feeling like you could soar at any moment.“Audrey, wow!”Carly stops at the doorway. Her eyes widen, and she quickly covers her mouth with her hands. She walks toward me slowly, fighting back tears.“You look so lovely… so beautiful in your wedding gown,” she says, her voice trembling.I let out a laugh even though I’m on the verge of tears myself. “Damn, I don’t want to cry, I’ll ruin my makeup,” Carly complains, wiping her eyes.“Me too,” I say, forcing a chuckle. “Though they told me this mascara is waterproof.”“Are you ready?” she asks.I take a deep breath and nod slowly. “Let’s go.”
Nick’s POVSeven Months LaterThe loud sound of the heart monitor beep… beep… beep echoes through the room, each beat seeming to sync with the pounding of my own heart. I can feel the coldness in my hands as I grip Audrey’s hand tightly. I’m trying my best to stay strong, but inside, I’m trembling with nerves and fear.I see the struggle on her face, the sweat beads rolling down her temples, the strain in the veins of her neck, and how she’s fighting back tears. But even then, there’s a strength in her eyes the fierce courage of a mother ready to give her everything.“Just a few more pushes, Mommy! Baby is coming out!” the doctor says, excitement in her voice.I take a deep breath, forcing myself to stay calm.“Love, you can do this, okay? I’m here. Just breathe… please, breathe with me.”Inhale… exhale… inhale… exhale…As I say those words, I realize they aren’t just for her; they’re for me too, because I feel like I’m about to break from the pressure. Audrey grips me so hard her n
Nick’s POV“Love... uhhmm.” I can’t even describe the joy and pleasure I feel while Audrey is pleasuring me.Fuck, this is nothing like I imagined. This is far beyond amazing. She’s doing it slowly, and it’s driving me crazy in the best way possible. She’s teasing me with the way she tastes me. But with every movement, she makes me feel an indescribable bliss. She might not be an expert, but she gives me a unique kind of happiness, because she’s the woman I love and have longed for.“Audrey, Love... uhmm.” She’s being so careful, as if she’s afraid of hurting me.“Does it feel good, Love?” she asks. She looks worried, like she’s afraid she isn't doing it right.“So good, Love...” I confess, breathless. My heart is racing. As her eyes grow misty with desire, I can feel the heat in every stroke she gives me.“Aaahh.” I reach out and hold her hair as she begins to pick up the pace.“Huh!” I can’t believe my Audrey is doing this. I can’t contain my happiness.“Love... aaahh...” Fuck, I’m
Audrey’s POVAfter Nick gave me a tour of the cabin, we had breakfast together, simple, yet filled with laughter and gazes that lingered a little too long before we could look away. Now, we’re in the other room resting, but I can feel a distinct silence between us, a kind of stillness heavy with both desire and love. This room feels warm and inviting. The high ceilings and wooden beams lend a touch of rustic elegance, while the fire in the fireplace flickers gently, casting light and warmth all around us.We are sitting on the soft sofa, I’m leaning against Nick’s chest while he tenderly strokes my hair. We’re just quiet, but every touch of his speaks volumes. I close my eyes, savoring the moment. It's quiet, peaceful, yet so full of emotion. Outside, the view is breathtaking. When I open my eyes, he’s right there, looking at me with such depth. His eyes say everything, love, longing, and a desperate wish to never be lost again.“I love you,” he says softly, almost a whisper, but I f
Audrey’s POVI could barely speak, overwhelmed by happiness and emotion. Memories of every moment with Nick flashed through my mind. I hadn’t expected that he had hidden the ring all this time. My tears wouldn’t stop falling.“Love… will you spend the rest of your life with me?”“Together, we’ll face every challenge that comes our way. I want to be there for you, for better or worse, until our hair turns gray.”I nodded through my tears, extending my hand for him to slip the ring back onto my finger. I could feel it trembling slightly.“Yes… yes, Love.”Nick’s own eyes glistened as he carefully slid the ring onto my finger. He held my hands tightly, and together we stood. Bathed in the soft light of the rising sun, he made me feel the depth of his love.He leaned in and kissed me, gentle, soft, and deep, a kiss of promise, love, and gratitude. With every movement of his lips, I could feel his devotion. It was as if he was saying, I’ll protect you. I’ll take care of you. And I responde
Nick’s POV“Where are we going?” Audrey asked excitedly as we drove on. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she leaned back in her seat, smiling despite the obvious fatigue.“You’ll know once we’re there,” I replied with a smile, reaching for her hand and pressing a gentle kiss to it.“You can sleep, Love. It’s still a long drive. I’ll wake you when we arrive.”“I don’t want to stay awake, Love… but I’m really sleepy,” she murmured, her voice soft, drowsy, unbearably sweet.“I know, Love. It’s okay.”I pulled the car over to the side of the road.“Why did you stop?” she asked, puzzled.I smiled and leaned closer. Her eyes widened in surprise. I brought my face closer to hers, just one more inch and our lips would meet.“What are you planning to do?” she asked, half-joking, half-nervous, glancing around at the darkness of the early morning.“Here? In the middle of nowhere?”“Aaah!” she yelped when her seat suddenly reclined, lowering smoothly so she could lie comfortably.I laughed sof

Nick’s POV“I’m sorry I’m late.”I froze just as I was about to sit down when I heard the voice of the woman I missed so much. I chose not to look back, but I was caught off guard when she suddenly walked up to me and kissed me on the cheek.“Welcome to the family, Mr. Nicholas Ford,” she said.I s
