Chapter 1

Kapoor Villa

It is 10 PM.

 Everyone in the Kapoor Villa  started to gather in the dining hall to have their dinner. 

Dharam walked out of his study and reaching in the dining he occupied his seat ,followed by everyone

"Why are you not standing there? Come ,have your dinner…" Dharam asked his wife Shrestha. 

Before Shrestha could reply,  Samar asked "Mamma, where is Bhai? He didn't come yet...he never comes this late." 

"Dhruv had a meeting with the chefs of his hotels. So he will come a little late." Shrestha replied with a beautiful smile on her face.

"Haan haan...din bhar uska bass meeting hi meeting...eating ki zaroorat nahi hai… (yeah yeah, all day only meeting and meeting...no need for food.)"  Damini said with little anger.

"Maa..Haven't you slept till now? Go and sleep...otherwise in the morning you will face problems " Dharam said.

"Yeah, I will go when I think I have to. Nothing will happen to me. I am the fittest among all of you." Damini said, making everyone laugh.

"And you… don't need to wait for that boy. He is not a baby who can't eat of his own." Dharam said rudely. 

Shrestha ignored him .

"Exactly Dad. I don't know why he needs a babysitter. " Shweta said, rolling her eyes.

"Sweta…stop your nonsense .Eat and leave .Further I don't want your opinion about Dhruv ." Shrestha said in a spine-chilling  voice with which everyone is familiar, they know if they said anything against Dhruv they would be in trouble. 

"Leave it Mamma… She is a child you know.."Pappa ki pari"(Daddy's princess) .. As she always needs a babysitter except in her late night parties ,she thought everyone comes under that category only... " Samar said sarcastically, making Shweta fume in anger. 

Mrinmay and his wife Tanishka rolled their eyes on his comment. 

"Minakshi ,you also start eating. I will serve the rest." Shrestha said and she nodded.

"Come on. Stop talking and have dinner . It's already late. " saying this Minakshi sat down to eat . 

Everyone had their dinner and went to their respective rooms. 

Shrestha sat on the couch with a book waiting for her son.

Conference hall.

In a conference hall...chefs are discussing their thoughts with their young boss.

"Sir ,I think we need to improve our dessert and include the new dish that we kept as a special dish for last week as customers really liked the dish." The Chef said.

"Ok..include that and give me results " Their boss replied. 

After discussing and clearing doubts, the meeting finished with his speech ,"Okk...goodbye Gentlemen. We stop it here today. Let's see what our new additions in the menu do. Remember one thing, we have to justify the name of  "The Shrestha Inn" and make it the best (Shrestha means best ). So good night people. See you guys tomorrow." 

He walked out of the conference room and reached in his cabin followed by his assistant. 

"Mrs Namrata,  I think you should leave now. Your work is done for today and it's already 10pm. Wait here I am arranging a car for you. " he said.

"No no...it's ok Sir. My husband is waiting . I will go. Should I make coffee for you? " Namrata asked politely.

"No need for it. You can leave now." He said typing furiously in his laptop.

"Okay Sir. Good night." With that she left the cabin.

After half an hour , he packed his things and left the office. 

He reached near the parking lot which was empty.

Starting his luxurious car, he drove towards his home. 

His phone rang displaying the caller id "Maa"

He picked up the phone and before he could say anything ,his mother started ,"Dhruv ,where are you? When are you coming? Have you eaten anything? I am sure you haven't and now you're hungry. What was the need for meeting at this late? I…."

Dhruv laughed a little and interrupted his mother ,"Maa..take a deep breath. Relax. I am on the way home. Driving right now…"

His mother interrupted, "You are driving!! Then why did you pick up my call? Now I am hanging up ...come fast ." 

"Love you Maa." Dhruv said.

"Love you too beta. Come fast." Shrestha said with a smile.

He is Dhruv Kapoor, the first born of Dharam and Shrestha. The arrogant in front of the world but the softie for his family. From the very childhood he was a genius . After completing his schooling in Delhi,he got a scholarship and  went to the USA to complete his Business studies. There he studied along with doing a job as a language translator in the night shift. 

After 4 years he came back (when he was 21)and started his journey in the business world as a hotelier. Within 7 years of his journey he achieved great success and owns 3 hotels -  in New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore branches of "The Shrestha Inn". His hotels have restaurants, Banquets etc as well. 

Dhruv's POV 

At 12 am I reached home. 

Entering I saw the most adorable sight…. There my Maa is sleeping on the couch cuddling her book. 

I went towards her and called her softly .

She woke up and said "You came. Very good. Now go and get freshened up. I am serving dinner." 

I smiled and said "Have you eaten?" 

"You know very well ,I can't without you my baby boy" Maa said, pulling my cheeks and making me smile.

"Oh come on Maa...I am not a baby for sure. I am a man you know." I said with sassiness. 

"Haan haan ..maloom hain. Ab jah ..jaldi jaldi (Yeah yeah, I know. Now go...fast fast)You haven't eaten anything..you have to eat ...go fast." Maa said, making me smile.

I kissed her cheek and went towards my room...my heaven.

After freshening up we had our dinner and went towards our rooms.

I sat near the window seat of my room and started doing some work on my laptop. 

I finished my work and looked towards my clock to see it's 3:30 am.

I went to bed exhausted and slept, forgetting the world.
