Chapter 15

Violent froze, and she felt a chill running down her spine. She didn't expect Xavier to find out.

"Moved in with another man?" Ethan frowned, as if something suddenly clicked into place."So you didn't leave the country because you were forced to, but because you ran off to be with someone else?"

His heart sank. If this were true, all his efforts spent plotting revenge on Aurora over the years were for nothing.

"Ethan, Xavier!" Violet grabbed Xavier's sleeve and immediately burst into tears. "I didn't. She really did force me to leave the country."

Xavier hardened his heart and pushed her away.

Violet panicked completely, crying pitifully. "Xavier, we've known each other our whole lives. Don't you trust me at all?"

Normally, Xavier would've caved when he saw her in such a state. But ever since learning about her despicable affairs overseas, he only felt anger and disgust.

"You were the one who betrayed my trust," he growled.
