Chapter 86

India's POV

The bathroom felt smaller than ever, the air charged with something raw and untamed as Roman’s lips returned the kiss with equal fervor.

I hadn't expected that.

My pulse thundered in my ears, every nerve in my body igniting under the heat of his touch. His hands gripped my waist with a ferocity that made my knees weak, pulling me into him until there was no space left between us.

I could feel the hard planes of his chest through his shirt, the raw strength in his frame, and the unmistakable bulge pressing against my lower belly, sending a jolt of heat straight to my core.

My breath hitched as his mouth moved with mine, hungry and relentless, his tongue slipping past my lips to claim me in a way that left no room for thought.

I clung to his shirt, fingers curling into the fabric as if it were the only thing keeping me grounded. My body responded on instinct, arching into him, needing more, craving every rough edge of him.

The taste of him, salt, smok

  • Until I Wrote Him    Surprise!!!

Chapter 94 Roman's POV The Gulfstream G650 touched down on the private airstrip in Teterboro with a jolt that rattled my teeth, a stark contrast to the fluid, dreamlike haze I had been living in for the past forty-eight hours.Rain lashed against the reinforced glass of the porthole. New York was weeping.Gray, miserable, and cold.It was a fitting welcome.I unbuckled my seatbelt, the click sounding like a gunshot in the pressurized silence of the cabin. My body was here, encased in a bespoke Italian suit, prepared for war. But my mind?My mind was still two thousand miles away, drifting on a turquoise tide in the Exumas.India.The name was a heavy stone in my gut. Leaving her had been the hardest thing I had ever done. Harder than building an empire from the ashes of my father’s failures. Harder than pulling the trigger the first time I had to kill a man to save my mother I checked my watch. 10:45 AM.She would be awake

  • Until I Wrote Him    The Clash

Chapter 93India’s POVConsciousness returned to me in slow, heavy waves, dragging me up from the depths of a sleep so deep it felt like a coma. My body felt heavy, anchored to the mattress by a lethargy that was both exhausting and strangely satisfying. The first thing I registered was the scent. It was everywhere. Embedded in the pillows, woven into the high-thread-count cotton of the duvet, lingering on my own skin. Sandalwood, sea salt, and that distinct, sharp musk that was entirely him.Roman.The name ghosted through my mind, and instantly, the memories of last night crashed into me with the force of a tidal wave.My eyes remained closed, but my breath hitched. Images flashed behind my eyelids, vivid and unashamed. The feel of the cold railing against my back, the heat of his mouth, the rough scrape of his stubble against my inner thighs. The way he had looked at me like he wanted to devour me whole, like I was the only oxygen in a room devoid of air.I shifted slightly, and

  • Until I Wrote Him    Living In The Moment

Chapter 92 Roman's POV Night had settled over the yacht like a velvet curtain, thick and quiet, broken only by the low hum of generators and the distant lap of waves against the hull. The newly fixed railings gleamed in the moonlight, smooth lines of polished steel catching silver reflections from the water below. They looked untouched, reborn, as if the attack had never happened.I rested my palms against the cool metal, phone in hand, its harsh white glow cutting through the darkness.Notifications spilled across the screen in relentless succession, a financial anomaly flagged by my system, movement on the island’s east perimeter, an encrypted update from Enzo all demandingI typed furiously.Short. Efficient. Surgical responses that shut down problems before they grew teeth. My thumbs moved fast, commands firing off like bullets.Re-route the funds.Double security on the west dock.Tell the engineer the reinforcement is still in

  • Until I Wrote Him    Just That Feeling

Chapter 91 India's POV The ocean breeze carried the faint scent of salt and sun-baked teak, weaving through my hair as I pushed open the small gate leading to the grill area. Guillermo scurried behind me, holding a collection of shells, some small and delicate, some jagged and bright like fragments of colored glass.“Last one!” I called, holding a particularly perfect shell in my hand. Its surface caught the light, a pearlescent shimmer that made me forget, if only for a second, the chaos of my morning with Roman. Guillermo’s eyes sparkled as he held his own prize aloft, and I couldn’t help but smile. The scent hit me before we reached the deck. It wasn’t just the aroma of seafood grilling; it was… something more. Something intoxicating, layered, subtle, yet impossible to ignore. Citrus, a hint of garlic, pepper that danced on the back of your throat, smoke from the charred edges, all perfectly balanced. My chest tightened,

  • Until I Wrote Him    Time To Hop!

Chapter 90 Roman's POV The sun was already beginning its slow descent by the time I reached the lower deck, the soft golden light stretching across the polished teak like a sheen of honey. The air smelled like salt, heat, and the promise of something unfamiliar, something domestic.Something I never did.Cooking.I never cooked. Not for myself. Not for anyone. Not even when I was a teenager and had to fend for myself in the earliest, roughest years of my life.I had always found people who could do it for me.Efficiency.Delegation.Tools of a man who didn’t waste time performing tasks he could outsource. But as I walked toward the custom-built grill that Dorsey had uncovered from the yacht’s side compartment, I felt something… different. A pull. A quiet itch beneath my skin.A need.India liked seafood.I saw it once when she stared at the lobsters we once had in one of our dinners together. She grew up on an island so sh

  • Until I Wrote Him    That Taunting Feeling

Chapter 89 India's POV For a terrifying, breath-snatching moment, the water was silent. No movement. No shadow. No Roman.Just the sun glaring off the surface like it enjoyed watching my nervous system malfunction. My heart hammered against my ribs like it wanted out. My fingers dug into the railing until my knuckles whitened. Every scenario my overactive, trauma-soaked imagination could produce hit me at once. And then,The water broke.Exploded, really.Roman rose from the ocean like some dripping, furious, half-mythical sea god carved purely for the purpose of making women rethink their life plans. Water cascaded down his torso in rivulets, catching the sunlight like diamonds running over bronzed steel. He didn’t even look out of breath. He didn’t look like a human man.He looked like a problem.A devastating, ruinous, breathtaking problem. But that wasn’t even the worst part.Because clutched in his hand, still sk
