Chapter 1 India's POV As soon as the plane hit the tarmac, my gaze was all over the surroundings trying to find some elements of change. It's really weird how a place I once knew all the nooks and crannies now seemed somewhat foreign to me. Grabbing my belongings, I adjusted my shades with hopes of concealing my identity Being in the spotlight was great to some people but definitely not to me.I've already had enough of the meet and greet on the plane. The last thing I want is a recognition from someone which will lead to another round of awkward conversations even though I knew I was trying to avoid the inevitable. The experience I had on the plane was enough to knock me off my feet.Usually, my manager handles the storm the press brings but she couldn't join me due to unfinished work.Being a renowned author with lots of accolades had its perks but it wasn't that comfortable for an introverted introvert who prefer

Chapter 3 Roman's POV The sound of unfiltered laughter coming from the room filled with guys does nothing to dull my curious mind.I may have encountered many types of women some seem to be somewhat pleasant while others are not so memorableBut the lady in the dressing room has managed to captivate my attention. All, or should I say most women master the art of putting and strutting in heels but seeing her try and fail miserably? That makes her one of a kindSeeing how she fell helplessly, I'm supposed to be amused or perhaps reach out a helping hand but instead, an unfamiliar feeling tucked at my heart as I stayed in silence. When I broke the silence by answering a question she asked herself, that seemed to startle her Seeing her figure seated on that floor made me want to rush over to her side. Chapter 5 Roman's POV The orange glow of the sunset made the whole place look like a fairytale land in a disney. Now I get why Kelly was so adamant about having an evening wedding at the backyard. The whole place was decorated with flowers of different types and rafters all strung together to form different beautiful shapes. The lighting was one of a kind with some sort of detailed repetitive pattern.Aside the decorations, Kelly was really a sight to behold. The vintage white gown looked like it was custom made for her and the bouquet in her hands was really large.Chris is one lucky bastard I couldn't blame him for weeping like a kid at the sight of his beautiful bride But I still didn't miss the opportunity to tease him They said their vows, each saying “I do” with so much enthusiasm that I almost wanted to gag at their silly facesI guess I'll never understand how people find this thing called love It was now the reception

Chapter 7 Roman's POV It's a beautiful night, as beautiful as a diamond on a copper plate. The stars sparkled brightly and almost nothing could be hidden under it.Then my eyes flicked to her, looking as gorgeous as ever. The glow of her skin almost as bright as the stars shining on us.Her pearly teeth gleam beautifying her already enchanting smile and that is all it takes for me to walk down to her.Just immediately, a thunder zips pass us like a flash. The beautiful sky turns into a raging one with bolts of lightening striking all over us.Making my resolve to protect us from the hurricane, I turn swiftly ready to take her hand and get out of this stormy world Then it's suddenly like I'm on water and I'm floating like some polythene I look beneath me and I see my undoing She's sinking Her hair flows in all directions while her eyes shut firmly Her skin becomes so pale that she's almost white Her enchanting

Chapter 9 Roman's POV For the few excruciating hours that I sit on my jet with a far away mind that can't help but worry how Guillermo is fairing even though I know he's in safe hands. He was again abandoned Not once Not twice Rory kept doing the same thing with him, abandoning him for me and then after she's done spending and needs a refill, she comes back and pretend like nothing happened while trying to play the doting mother to Guille.Being a CEO and taking care of Guille has not been an easy task and that's why Nina was always available and I had Kathy on speed dial incase of emergencies like this.Katherine, my cousin has always been my only hope because aside Nina, she is the only one that I trust with taking care of sweet Guillermo But she's probably tired of taking up that responsibility whenever Rory goes MIA Especially with a full load of five active kids in her hands I always see the bags under her eyes, the constant yawning and d
