Lilith’s POV

The silence around the arena fell like a heavy curtain. For a moment, it felt as though the world had stopped breathing.

The engines had gone completely quiet, the dust was still settling, and every eye was fixed on the finish line where Kyra and I had crossed almost simultaneously. My chest rose and fell rapidly beneath my riding gear, lungs burning, heart hammering so hard I could feel it in my throat. The bike beneath me vibrated faintly, heat seeping through metal and leather, grounding me in the present.

I didn’t move.

Neither did Kyra.

We just sat there, our bikes angled slightly toward each other, helmets still on, visors down, staring across the narrow stretch of ground between us. It wasn’t a glare filled with hatred….at least not entirely. It was something deeper. Disbelief. Shock. A silent question neither of us could voice.

What just happened?

Around us, murmurs rippled through the crowd. Low voices overlapped, confusion and excitement tangling together. Some

Nolan’s POVShock was a strange thing. It didn’t hit all at once like an explosion. It just crept in slowly, settling into my bones, making everything I felt unreal…. It was as though I were watching the aftermath of someone else’s life instead of standing in the middle of my own victory. We won.The words still didn’t feel real in my head. Somewhere deep down I doubted we would win, but we did.I stood with the contractor, Mr Brandt near the temporary office setup by the track, my secretary, Mia, stood beside me with her tablet clutched to her chest. The noise from the crowd had dulled into a distant hum, cheers and laughter blurring into background static as my mind struggled to catch up with reality. We won.Against Kyra.Against Theo.Against their every dirty trick, sabotage, and calculated move meant to break us. Kyra and Lyra going behind us and working with Theo was just diabolical but I guess they were never with us from the beginning just having fun like two psychopath. And

  • Until She Was Theirs   Chapter 84

Lilith’s POVThe world narrowed to sound and motion the second my tires hit the dirt. The crack of the gunshot still rang faintly in my ears as I surged forward, the engine roaring beneath me like something alive, something hungry. The vibration traveled through my arms, my chest, my bones, grounding me, centering me. Dust kicked up behind me as I leaned into the first stretch, eyes locked ahead.Lyra, Kyra, and Nolan already had a head start.I could see them in the distance, three moving blurs cutting through the track with brutal precision. Nolan rode hard, aggressive, his posture sharp with focus. Kyra was smooth and calculating, every movement deliberate. And Lyra….Lyra rode like she had nothing to lose.“Don’t chase,” Cassian’s voice echoed in my head. Ride smart.I exhaled slowly and pushed the throttle just enough to close the gap without burning myself out. Panic was useless here. Speed alone wouldn’t win this. Control would. The track twisted ahead, uneven terrain forcing q

  • Until She Was Theirs   Chapter 83

Lilith’s POVThe noise around me blurred into a dull hum as Nolan walked away.I watched his back as he headed toward the man in charge of the competition Mr Brandt, his posture tense, shoulders set like he was bracing for impact. He spoke with sharp gestures, calm but firm, clearly explaining the sudden change in riders. I knew he hated this….hated being forced into a position where control slipped through his fingers.I didn’t blame him.But I also didn’t have the luxury of fear. I turned away from them and faced the line of bikes. They were arranged neatly, each one polished and tuned to perfection, engines quiet but coiled with power. Just looking at them made my pulse quicken. These weren’t ordinary machines. They were predators, waiting to be unleashed. In the first lesson, Cassian’s voice echoed in my head.‘Never let someone choose a bike for you.’I walked slowly down the line, letting my fingers hover just above the frames without touching. Cassian had told me that bikes had

Lilith’s POV The underground warehouse always felt like it existed outside the world. No sunlight reached it. No noise from the city filtered through. Down here, time slowed, stretching and bending around the steady hum of electricity and the occasional metallic clink of tools. The air smelled of oil, steel, and something raw…..something dangerous. It was a place built for speed and secrets.Cassian moved through it like it was an extension of himself.“Come closer,” he said, crouching beside a partially dismantled bike. “You won’t learn anything standing over there.”I hesitated only a second before stepping closer, kneeling beside him. The concrete was cold beneath my palms.“Okay,” I said. “What am I looking at?”He smirked faintly. “Good question.”He tapped a section of the exposed engine. “This is where most riders panic.”“That doesn’t explain anything,” I replied.“It does,” he said calmly. “Because when this overheats or jerks unexpectedly, panic is what kills people. Not th

  • Until She Was Theirs   Chapter 81

Lilith’s POVThe morning arrived way too quickly.Sleep barely touched me the night before, and when it did, it came in like restless fragments, half-dreams filled with flashing lights, roaring engines, and Cassian’s voice repeating a single word over and over until it lost all meaning.Mistake.I laid on my bed awake long before dawn, staring at the ceiling, my chest tight with thoughts I refused to finish. By the time I finally forced myself to get out of bed, I felt hollowed out, like something essential had been scooped clean from inside me.Today was the day of the competition. The house was already alive when I went downstairs. Movement echoed through every hallway, footsteps, voices, the clatter of equipment being shifted and checked. The familiar scent of oil and metal lingered in the air, sharp and grounding.I focused on that instead of the knot that was forming in my stomach.Cassian’s presence h
