Everyone was shocked when they saw Caleb throw a punch at Jackson's face; no one expected it to happen. Even Jackson himself was shocked. He had never had a bad relationship with Caleb. They never fought after a dozen years of friendship, but now he was getting hit by him.

Shane, who had clenched his fist and was about to hit, abandoned his intention. He stayed where he was, watching the drama of what would happen next.

"You hit me?" Jackson asked incredulously. He rubbed the corner of his bleeding lip. He chuckled, unable to believe that his best friend had just hit him. He looked at Caleb with a questioning look.

"You deserved it. I feel disappointed as your friend. You did nothing when Grace was hurt so badly; you only cared about Claire when she wasn't even hurt at all. I know you hate Grace, but you shouldn't be unfair like that. Grace almost lost her life. What if I hadn't been there? Are you just going to stand by and watch Grace die while you hug your little girlfriend?" Caleb

Grace puts all her clothes into several luggages. She is very stylish, so she has a lot of fancy and expensive clothes. Shane helped by putting her things into a big box. When she saw the wedding photo on the nightstand, Grace immediately froze. She sighed harshly, staring at the photo for a long time. She used to love that picture because it was the only picture of her with Jackson. They had never been photographed together other than when they were married. Meanwhile, Grace repeatedly saw Claire posting pictures of her making out with Jackson.Grace smiled slightly. She no longer felt the pain of realizing the injustice she had received. She reached for the picture frame, opened it, and took out the photo sheet from there. She tore the photo with no feeling at all. She no longer wanted to remember her foolishness all these years."Are you okay?" Shane asked reassuringly.Grace shook her head with a smile."You stay here; I'll get the stuff." Shane said firmly.Grace nodded gently. S

  • Until You Regret   40. Cruel Woman

Jackson smiled triumphantly when he found Grace back home. He was sure that Grace couldn't live without him. There was no way she would want a divorce after all the trouble she had gone through to marry him."Caleb is overreacting." Jackson commented as if he was talking to himself. He rose to his feet, welcoming Grace back."I knew you'd come home. There's no way you want a divorce over such a small matter. I forgive you this time; next time you should behave yourself." Jackson said confidently.Grace glared; she smiled bitterly. "Oh, so you already knew about the divorce plan? Caleb was pretty quick to pass on the information to you."Jackson wasn't happy with Grace's response. He didn't like that every time he looked into Grace's eyes, there was no love to be found there. He didn't like it when Grace looked at him with hatred. He missed the Grace of old. The Grace who would immediately beg and bow down to him whenever he was angry and made her feel uneasy."I want to remind you not

  • Until You Regret   39. Divorce Papers

Grace stared at the bundle of papers in front of her. She reached for the paper and looked for the column she had to sign. She didn't read the agreement at all because she trusted Robin to take care of the divorce papers. There was no way her father would do anything to harm her.Shane looked at her with a look that was hard to understand. He felt like he didn't know what to say about his heart. He was happy but also sad.Grace unhesitatingly signed the letter. She looked up, then smiled as her eyes met Shane's."You're sure of your decision, right? You don't want to regret it and cry for a divorce annulment." Robin tried to confirm.Grace nodded gently. She was sure because there was nothing else to consider. She no longer loved Jackson, nor did he care about her life and death. Why should she hold on and lean on a wall that was already crumbling?Robin smiled gently. "You finally made the right decision." He took the divorce papers, put them back in the folder, and left. Where she w

Caleb drove his car to Jackson's house. When he arrived there, it coincided with Jackson returning from the police station with Claire. He looked very attentive, embracing Claire into his luxurious house. Then he gently sat her down on the sofa.Normally Caleb would feel very happy to witness the romance of his two friends. He was happy when he saw them happy. However, now he felt different. He seemed very uneasy and did not like their closeness."Jack." Caleb called seriously. He looked at him with a look in his eyes as if to signal that he wanted to talk to him alone.Jackson stared in confusion, his forehead furrowed in response to Caleb's strange behavior. He ignored the code the man gave him. He focused on Claire."Jack, I want to talk to you." Caleb could no longer be patient."What? Just say it.""I want to talk to you one-on-one.""Do you have a secret now that I can't hear? I thought we were good friends. How important is your conversation that I can't hear it?" Claire showed

  • Until You Regret   37. Go Home

After a week of hospitalization, Grace was finally able to go home this afternoon. Her condition has started to improve; the wounds on her face have also started to fade. She has completely recovered, leaving only a wound on her head with a few stitches.During her hospitalization, the Forest family did not care about her condition at all. Even Jackson, her husband, never visited her or tried to ask how she was doing. That man was more busy taking care of the legal issues that Claire was being charged with over the accident. As Shane and Robin had said, Claire should be jailed for nearly taking Grace's life.Grace could understand if Jackson didn't care. It was just that she was quite disappointed when her in-laws didn't ask her how she was doing at all. Apparently Claire's position in the family really couldn't be disturbed at all."Are you okay?" Lindsay asked reassuringly when she saw the sad look on her daughter's face.Grace smiled slightly. She just realized that she shouldn't b

"I heard you saved me and brought me to the hospital." Grace asked seriously after Shane brought Caleb into the room where she was being treated. Lindsay was the only one there, as Robin had to work. Shane also only had a short time to see his sister, because today he had an important meeting to attend."That's right. I'm glad that you're awake. I brought you some fruit." Caleb put the fruit basket on the table."Why?" Grace gave him a serious look. "Why did you save me? Why didn't you ignore me like you usually do?"Caleb sighed harshly. He looked at Grace intently."Maybe our relationship is a little off, but I can't just stand by when I see someone in need of help. I helped you not because it was you, but because you needed my help." The sharp-nosed man explained.Grace seemed to accept that answer; she was no longer concerned. She was grateful that she had survived the accident. If Caleb had not been quick to act, she could have lost the fetus in her womb."Why are you here? Did J
