CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN - THE DATE

I bite my lip and fidget with my black purse as I wait, sitting on my bed.

"Jess, should I go downstairs?" l ask her.

She quickly shakes her head. "No. He said he will pick you up from the door," she says.

I sigh. See the struggles I am having with going on a date with someone living in the same house as I am.

I speak. "I think I should go out to the hall and not make it complicated. But what if he thinks l am extra?"

Jessica looks at me with challenging eyes and raises a brow, "Think? Girl, you are extra."

I throw her a blank stare and chuck a pillow toward her. "Shut up," I say.

She chuckles and winks at me before going back to her phone.

"What are you doing?" I ask her, narrowing my eyes at her phone.

She looks at me through her lashes before looking down and mumbling, "Oh, nothing."

Her cheeks are tinged pink and my eyes widen. "Jessica Drew is blushing?" I cry out, gasping in shock.

"Shut up!" she says, and her cheeks turn darker, almost close to turning red.
