LEONE

I stared at Seraphina, my eyes burning into hers, my blood boiling as I tried to wrap my head around what was happening.

Isabella was sobbing, clutching her flat stomach, accusing Sera of killing her baby, and the whole dining room was a mess of groans and chaos.

Freya and Cassian were back, looking pale, and Grandfather Lucien was gripping the table, his face twisted from his own stomach pain.

I couldn’t shake the image of Isabella’s flat stomach—no blood, no nothing, just gone.

My gut told me something was off, and I needed answers. “Sera,” I said, my voice low, “did you poison her? Did you kill my child out of jealousy or revenge? Tell me the truth.”
