Jayden's POV

My screen light shone with a notification sound. I picked up my phone. It was a message from my PA stating the meeting time with the investment group.

I took a deep breath, stood up and walked to the bathroom.

I stayed at the hotel longer than usual. I'd have gone home before dawn. But going home means facing her.

The woman I was now married to.

She didn't choose this either. I could see it on her face at the altar. But that doesn't change anything.

She didn't look like someone who'd make this easy either. I could tell just from looking at her. Something behind her eyes that wasn't afraid of me. Or maybe I read her wrong.

I didn't want her. That's one thing I know.

I never wanted to get married. Standing at that altar with her yesterday was never part of my plan.

I made a mistake and my father found the perfect way to use it. Marriage was his condition. His way of testing if I was still the man he raised or some broken, weary man.

Regardless of how heartbroken I was and almost wanted to end my life.

There are things my father still watches me for. Things he thinks I don't notice. The way his eyes linger a second too long when I walk into a room. Still checking. Still not sure I'm whole.

He's never fully believed I recovered. Not everything that happened, the version of me that fell apart years ago. He's still watching, waiting for me to crack.

That's why this matters. Not the marriage, not her, but what it proves.

I had to fulfill his wish as a way to let him understand I'm myself, I'm capable and able to handle situations. Not some heartbroken asshole.

My father hadn't called or texted. That was a sign. He expects me to do things my way. But I still have to prove it to him. Prove to him that I can handle the company when he retires.

His words that sat in my chest when he had called me before the marriage. “Jayden, you're getting married soon, I want to see how you'd be able to handle your family, that way you can handle the company as I'd be retiring soon.”

My phone rang.

Mike

“Jayden.” His voice came before I could speak.

“What's happening, the investment group are already here, what's keeping you so long?” He asked with an impatient tone.

Mike is my very close friend. Also an employee in our company. Although he has a higher rank than most employees in the company. He's always been there for me and doesn't act intimidated with my position. But it encourages me.

“I'll soon be on my way, Mike, just keep them company till I get there.”

“Yes, I will, just be on time, you know they're big time investors. You're prepared for the Presentation right?” Mike asked, knowing I'm prepared.

“Yes, I am. Just be focused on your part right now till I come” I said to him while blow-drying my hair.

“You said you're coming. Did you spend the night at the Hotel? I thought you left? Wasn't it supposed to be your honeymoon?”

“Stop asking me questions, and yes! I slept at the hotel, did you see or hear from Mia? She…I don't really know what…” I paused. “Go and meet them Mike, I'd be there soon.”

I didn't wait for him to reply as I ended the call. Knowing Mike, he'd keep pulling until I spill everything.

Last night was still patchy in my head. I still couldn't recall what happened last night.

Mia came to my room, I remembered her hands on my collar. I remembered when she seductively started undressing herself.

I remembered telling her to get out. After that, nothing was clear.

How did she even get access to my Hotel room?. We all went to the Bar yesterday, Mike and Mia were present and they both taunted me about my newly bride and marriage.

We all dispersed. Somehow Mia followed me to my hotel room.

What came over her, she has always wanted my attention and I've never once become suspicious of her.

Mia has always been around. Joanna’s friend, part of the circle.

I can't figure out what made last night different for her. I wasn't sure I wanted to.

I finished getting ready, picked up my jacket and headed for the door.

The investment group were waiting, everything else can wait.

  • Unwillingly His   Our First Night

Ellie's POV Just then his towel fell down, I quickly scanned through as I saw his abs and hot sexy body with a huge dick. I've never seen anything like that before. Not even this type. I became ashamed and turned around not to look again. He quickly turned me around and made me face him. I felt my heart slam against my chest. “Why are you ashamed? Haven't you seen this before?” he asked with a straight look and I shaked my head, shivering. He looked at me intensely, and I didn't know what was in his mind as I quickly closed my eyes. This is beyond me. Whatever I'm feeling right now, I don't think it's appropriate. My husband is sexy indeed, I can't let him know of my consciousness. That's why I can't look. “You can take a look if you want.” Like he knew I wanted to. Before I could say a word, he covered the distance between us and I found myself walking backwards, and he walked forward also as he pinned me to the wall. "Don't you want this?" he asked. No emotion in his

  • Unwillingly His   The Marriage

Ellie's POV The doors opened and the music started. My father offered his arm and I took it because my legs needed something to hold onto. The aisle stretched ahead of us, lined with faces I didn't know, all watching, all waiting. I kept my face forward. I couldn't see the groom's face properly while we walked. My veil was covered. But I'd still see it every day of my life… I irked. I hated the feeling already. I wanted my career first and then marry the one I'll fall in love with someday. Not an arranged marriage I never bargained for. But I always knew it might end up like this. My mum always says I don't behave like a princess. Yes! I'm the only child of my parents and the only one who gets the Royalty training. It sucks! A lot of the time, I'm lonely. The veil was taken off and we took the Vow. I couldn't behold the face I saw. The young handsome-built man standing before me was my husband. Maybe I got lucky after all. No, I'm not. I didn't want this. Lucky

  • Unwillingly His   No Other Choice

Ellie's POV I woke up slowly. Everything was a blur. The ceiling came first. I felt weak as I tried to sit up but realized the weights on both my wrists. I looked at it and realized my hands were chained, tied to the bedpost. Lying on the bed, the whole room felt dizzy as I tried to recall what happened. The escape. Yes! I wanted to escape. We were so close to it. We had already walked out of the palace gate. Then… Oh no! Where's Cleo’s aunt? What really happened? And then nothing. My memory was fighting the battle of recalling every detail. I needed to get out there. But how could I? Couldn't even stand up from my bed The door swung open. Both parents walked in, my mother's expression cutting sharper than my father's. “Ellie, what did you plan to do? You thought we were dumb and couldn't discover your plan?.” “My Princess Ellie.” My father, the most gentle man I've known, came to sit beside me. “You shouldn't have done that, we've talked about it. The groom is waiting,” h

  • Unwillingly His   The Plan

Ellie's POV “Mum, I can't marry him.” I didn't sit. I stood my ground, hands folded, as my eyes fixed on her. “How do you expect me to spend my life with someone I don't know, and I've never met before?” My voice almost gave way. She looked up. Not even blinking. "You will. You'll marry him, and you'll get to know him.” She sat up, adjusted herself on the bed she sat on. Her expression changed. Something lighter. “Don't worry, you're going to love him as you get to know him.” A smile crossed her face. “Remember how I knew your father, the king? I met him just this way. I was a young, naive princess just like you, but I got to know him better after our marriage, and we're still in love till this moment.” My mum told me the story she has been telling me for decades. I could literally recite every word. I'm sure she wanted me to prepare for this moment. I rolled my eyes and shook my head. “But mum, I have dreams, I want to continue my studies, travel round the world, treat sick p
