Valentina’s P.O.V
“Woah! This house is so freaking big.” I muttered to myself as I stared around the huge living room, it was like a house out of a movie scene, as soon as the closing bell rang, I quickly changed out of my clothes and I came here immediately.
I hope I get the job.
“Good day,” My head snapped in the direction of the voice and I got up immediately to greet the man dressed in a neatly tailored tuxedo standing in front of me.
He simply nodded and the security men behind me left us alone.
“You are Ms. Valentina, right?”
“G-Good Afternoon,” I stuttered. “Y-Yes, I am Valentina.”
“I’m glad you were able to make it, you are a bit ahead of time, it is quite impressive.” A small blush reached my face at his compliment. “Unfortunately, Mr. Israel is yet to come back from work, however, he requests you wait for him in his study.”
He turned on his heels and began to walk away, he didn’t even care if I was coming with him or not, I hurried after him and followed him across the large hallways.
The house was big and majestic, just like a palace, I could tell whoever owns this house, is so fucking rich and I wonder if tutoring such a spoilt rich son would be as easy as I thought.
He stopped behind an oak door and punched some code at the security before he opened the door, the room had four black leather cushions and a center table in the middle.
Then there was a long metal shelf close to the window at the rear end of the room and just across the room was a huge mahogany desk; the papers on the tables were neatly arranged, and an intercom too.
Rich people have it easy, don't they? I was told to sit and wait for my employer, the man who did not tell me his name handed me a glass of water just in case I was thirsty.
“Mr. Israel will be here soon.” He told me before he exited the room, I sniffed the water trying to perceive any added chemical.
“You are the one who signed up for the job?” I heard a deep voice just as soon as the door opened and my eyes met the stranger's green eyes, they narrowed softly at me with a sweet smile.
“Oh my… how lovely you are.” He approached me and a nervous smile spread on my lips. “I apologize for the wait.”
“That's not a problem.” My smile widened.
“I am Israel Lords.” He outstretched his hand for a handshake and I took it, for some reason, this man wasn't as I imagined.
Despite being rich, he seemed nice and welcoming, I thought he would be lordly and authoritative; I imagined him to be like my classmates.
“Please sit down.” He offered.
I couldn’t help but notice this man's distinct features, he was probably in his forties but despite his age, he was still very handsome. I was smitten by a strange familiarity; I think I had met him somewhere before but I don’t remember where.
He rubbed his jaw slightly, as his eyes scanned through my CV, I hope he doesn't find anything odd about my CV.
“So, you're twenty-three years old, you look quite young for your age.” He squinted his eyes at me and I felt my heart hammer fearfully in my chest. “That's a good thing.”
“T-Thank you, sir.” I stammered.
“I know the vice Chancellor of Hope University,” He flipped to the next page nodding in satisfaction. “Your grades are quite impressive.”
“You flatter me so much, sir.” I chuckled.
“My son and I are never on good terms; he is quite stubborn but as a father, I can't help but be concerned for him.” Mr. Israel narrated in a sad voice. “I think something has been going on with him recently which has caused his grades to fall drastically and at this point, he would be unable to graduate high school this fall.”
If he is graduating this fall, then he would be in the same grade as me. If he is as kind as his father, then we could probably be friends.
“I need someone who can make his grade improve, especially in math.”
“I will do my best, Mr. Israel.” I declared.
“Well, then you are hired.” He relaxed his back into the chair.
Wait, just like that? He isn’t asking me to prove myself or anything, he is simply hiring me based on the results he had seen.
I am so lucky.
“Thank you, I promise to not disappoint you.” Tears welled in my eyes, finally! I can move out of Ron's house.
“Tim, my butler, should hand you the necessary documents, please fill them out before you leave.” The corner of his mouth raised in a smirk, and that action reminded me of Ethan. “My son isn’t back from school yet, he has swimming classes, I would love to introduce you to him.”Ethan…
My heart quickened in my chest just why did I think about that bastard in a place like this?
The door behind me opened and someone strolled in, he stopped as soon as he noticed Mr. Israel wasn’t alone.
“Great timing! I wanted to introduce you to your new tutor,” Mr. Israel got up with a small smile.
“I told you I don’t need a tutor, father.” I heard a very familiar hiss, one that made all the hairs I had behind my neck stand up. “If you don’t know what to waste your money on, then donate them to charity, have you seen how ridiculous that ad is? Any gold digger could waltz in here any minute.”
That voice… No, it can’t be!
“Come on don’t be rude.” Israel snapped and I got up almost immediately to confirm my suspicion. “Ms. Chandler please pardon me, meet my son, Ethan.”
“Dad, do you have any idea what you brought home?” He teased as he closed the distance between us, he was smirking wickedly at me, and even though I was wearing glasses and a wig, he recognized me right away.
God, no, please, let this be a dream, tears well up in my eyes as I stared back at this man helplessly, I was in trouble no matter how Ethan chose to handle this.
“Ethan I will not tolerate any disrespect towards Valentina.” Mr. Israel scolded him. “She is much older than you are, so please show her some respect.”
“Hello, Val.” Ethan extended his hand for a shake. “I look forward to learning so much from you.”
Writer's P.O.V "How is the book ending?" Maurice my assistant asked me, "I thought you were working on it the previous night." "Oh yes, but I didn't like the ending." I answered her and her eyes fell towards the laptop screen, she was too strict with me, even though I didn't sleep all night while writing this ending she might still criticize me for being a shitty writer. "I like this." A small smile reached her lips. "I never liked the fact that Valentina would die at the ending, you would never reach best seller with that mentality." I was never trying to be best seller anyways, but since she approves of this ending, I know that the book is done. I will miss talking to Ethan, and also my number one fan, Valentina, even as she died she called my book, beautiful and a masterpiece. It was different from the way the toxic web readers did. But how did the book end again..."You're going to get late for your interview." Melissa yelled at Valentina, just because Valentina was trying t
Third Person's P.O.V"Travis, what are you doing here?" Valentina asked curiously before she could push the door close, he stopped it with the tip of his foot and pushed her away instead. She fell to the ground, she knew she wasn't supposed to let him come inside. "Travis." Her eyes widened when she noticed he was holding a knife again, and that was when she remember a memory that escaped her mind, that day in the crowd, she saw the person who stabbed her, and that person smiled at her. It was Travis. "What do you want?" she asked fearfully as she thought about he could be looking for, was he trying to kill her again? Or could he be looking for Ethan instead. "I see you have gotten quite close with Ethan." His eyes scanned through her angrily, and they narrowed. "You are even wearing his clothes, what is this, are you guys married now?" "What do you want?" she insisted on knowing that first. "Are you telling me you don't know? I know you remember everything, don't you try to act
Valentina's P.O.V Today is the day that Ethan said I was supposed to die, I have been in Ethan's house for the last three days and he had been nothing but kind and sweet to me. I didn't even notice just how lovely Ethan was until recently. I have been getting some very strange memories, this was probably the memories of the Valentina in the previous timeline, the Valentina that died. I thought Ethan was the one who assaulted me, but he was actually the one who helped me. I just understood just how much I had misunderstood Ethan's intentions. I didn't tell him about the strange memories that I am getting, I remember so much about us now, and even the first time he kissed me in his house. "Valentina are you okay?" Ethan asked me curiously, I was spacing out while we were cooking, he nudged me softly. "I didn't know you could cook." I mentioned as i washed the vegetables under the running water. "You cook so good." "I once told you I used to cook for my mother while she was still
Travis P.O.V“I never knew you were this kind of person.” My mother said and her eyes widened in horror as she threw a slap at me. I clenched the part of my cheeks that she hit. “Mom, I had told you not to go into my room, without my permission.” I was at the store today, because I noticed that my tapes were running out, so I went to get a new one. Mother claimed she was cleaning my room and she found my collections, pictures and videos. “You invaded my privacy.” “How dare you…” Father joined in, ah, I forgot to add that after looking through my stuff she also invited my father to see things too. “Who are those girls in the pictures and did you do that to them?” “Yes and what if I did?” I asked them curiously. “What are you going to do, are you going to hand over your precious son to the police?” I was daring them, my mother broke down in tears, and the tapes contained images of badly beaten women that I had sexually assaulted. I used the recordings as a blackmail I never needed t
Ethan's P.O.V I woke up with Valentina in my arms, her eyes were shut tightly, as she slept peacefully, a smile reached my face, and finally this is everything I wanted. Valentina and I like this, every day. She stirred slightly, and soon enough her eyes flew open, they blinked slightly as she stared back at me. At first two of us, just stared back at each other in silence, and then a small blush creeps on her face, and she tried to disengage from me. "Wait..." I whispered as i pulled her back to my chest, "Where are you going in such a hurry?" "Ethan..." She whispered, i loved it whenever she calls my name like this, she was very embarrassed at the moment, and I wrapped my arms around her. "We can sleep some more." I advised. "N-No..." She muttered again. "I-I need to go home, I need to go to school." "Valentina," I turned her towards me, and she hid her eyes away from my gaze, i held her chin softly and tilted her face slightly until her eyes met mine. "We can't go anywhere u
Third Person’s P.O.V (Somewhere not so near)“I am telling you this will be a success.” Guillotine said as he closed his laptop shut and he turned towards Maurice his assistant and content editor. “We should be grateful that the reviews are coming back positively tonight.” Maurice answered with a small sigh. “To be honest with you, you are such a terrible writer.” “Oh, no Maurice, don’t do this to me.” He chuckled as he reeled himself in his chair. “Writing is the only thing I know how to do.” “Your writing has been messed up lately, I was becoming concerned for you, I was about to tell the publishers you would need some rest.” Maurice added and Guillotine noticed the sarcasm in the note as well. “But since the newest chapter had been released, the readers and subscription had increased.” “Oh…” He cracked his neck tiredly, he couldn’t care less if there are people reading the book, but one thing interested him tonight. “And the characters likability?” “Um, everyone wants Ethan t
