Her whole body tensed upon hearing what he said. She could hear the pain in his voice but his words struck her hard.

Slowly, she moves away to look at him. He looks distressed.

"What did you say?" she asks the obvious while he struggles to meet her in the eyes.

"I'm setting you free, Amelia. We will process the divorce. Everything here will be yours and half of the money I have. But always remember, I will never stop protecting you even if you have already found someone to do so" he whispers while trying to suppress his tears.

"I will not love another but you, Amelia. But my love is not good for you. I will just destroy you if I continue to trap you in this marriage. I cannot let myself hurt you again" he bitterly explains.
