Valentine’s Day Betrayal

On Valentine’s Day, Ethan Scott had a last-minute social engagement and left me home alone. Late at night, I received a message from him, telling me to meet him at a bar. Thinking he had finally remembered me, I rushed out the door, eager to see him. But when I came to the door of the private lounge, the scene before me froze me in place. Taylor Winston straddled Ethan’s lap, her silk camisole slipping from her shoulders, the straps barely clinging to her elbows. Her slender fingers traced the curve of his lips. “You’re insatiable. Ten in one night? I’m running out of space in my bin!” He smirked. “Oh, drop the act. Did you forget how you begged me on your knees? I’ve always taken good care of you, haven’t I?” They indulged in their shameless intimacy as if an invisible barrier shielded them from the world. The people around them acted as though they saw nothing. My fingers burned against my phone as I gripped it tightly. Ethan’s friends erupted into laughter, egg

The room erupted into laughter. "You’re such a hypocrite, Claire. Has Ethan neglected you for so long that you’ve developed a fascination with these things?" Humiliation burned through me. I clawed at the floor, struggling to get up—only to see a patch of red spreading between my legs. Panic gripped me. I grabbed Ethan’s hand, my voice trembling with desperation. "Ethan, help me! The baby... my baby!" For a brief moment, he froze. His gaze locked onto the crimson stain seeping through my clothes, and a flash of clarity broke through his drunken haze. "You’re pregnant?" Pain stole my breath. Before I could speak, Taylor yanked him back forcefully. "Ethan, wake up! Do you even know the difference between pregnancy and a normal physiological reaction? "Women bleed during ovulation too. You haven’t touched her in ages—of course, seeing that made you jump to conclusions." Disgust flickered across the faces in the room as they nodded in agreement. "She says no, but her

I listened to Ethan and focused on preparing for my pregnancy. Meanwhile, he hired a young and beautiful assistant behind my back. His time at home became unpredictable, his returns sporadic. When I went to see him, security blocked me at the door several times. The one time I managed to wait for him outside, he stepped out—with Taylor by his side. She was stunning, her every movement exuding the charm of a confident, elegant woman. "Your job is to have a baby. Stop showing up at my office for no reason. I have Taylor by my side—that's enough. Just focus on your pregnancy," he said. Taylor leaned into him, her arm hooked through his, and smiled. "I'm sorry, sweetheart, but Ethan’s been under a lot of stress lately. He’s irritable, and I’d be worried if I weren’t around to take care of him." I stared at her hand resting on his arm, but he offered no explanation. Instead, he looked at me as if this were perfectly normal. Feeling uneasy, I told Ethan that if it was just a pr

The nurse handed me my phone. "You’re too weak right now. This is serious—you need someone to take care of you. Call a family member." I clutched the phone tightly as tears blurred my vision once again. I dialed three times. Each time, Ethan declined the call without hesitation. The nurse let out an exasperated sigh. "How can he be so irresponsible? His own wife is in this condition, and he won’t even answer the phone!" Frustrated, she pulled out her phone and dialed his number. A woman answered. Taylor. "I told you, didn’t I? She’s just being dramatic again. Always so good at playing the victim. “Now that no one’s paying attention to her, she’s finally desperate enough to call you?“And look at that—when he ignores her, she even gets someone else to try!" There was muffled noise on the other end before Ethan’s voice cut through, his tone sharp and impatient. "Enough, Claire! Haven't you humiliated me enough? Do you know how much trouble you caused me tonight? Th

January’s chill was at its harshest, and the heavy snowfall felt as though it was burying itself in my heart rather than settling on the ground. I sought out my lawyer friend and formally filed a lawsuit against Ethan. I presented the court with surveillance footage from the bar that night—evidence of how they locked me in the car and how they humiliated and abused me in the private lounge. I handed over every intimate photo Taylor had ever sent, flaunting her affair with Ethan. When Ethan learned that I had taken him to court, he finally began to panic. He called me incessantly, flooded my phone with messages, and even showed up at the temporary place I was staying, trying to corner me. “Let’s talk this out, Claire. Don’t make things so ugly. This isn’t good for either of us.”I couldn’t help but wonder—how was it not good for him? He had an affair, tangled himself with his mistress right in front of me, indulged in Taylor’s cruelty, and dismissed all my efforts as if h
