Chapter 6

*writer's POV*

     In a large hall. The throne room, sat king Oscar on a throne made of golden materials and cushion covered with red leather material. He opened his eye, which were red in colour and soon changed to greenish blue. He is a tall man about 6ft, with brownish white hair and about his 50s as humans may think but in his 580s.

   He is a vampire,not just a vampire but the king of a clan. The savato vampire clan. He was just disturbed as he heard the chief guard approaching swiftly.

"My king, a letter." The chief guard said as he bowed to his knees before him. The letter raisin above his head.

"From who." King Oscar asked.

"The Balian's king." He responded swiftly.

"Let me see." King Oscar said as he looked at the guard moving thorough the stairs and handed the letter to him.

   He takes it from him and smiled as he read the content.

"Truces, they say.....this evening."

King Oscar laughs as he kept on reading. "Okay....send a message and tell them by eight O clock."

"Yes, my king. Sorry to ask but I taught we are against each other." He asked.

"Yes, we are. As a proverb says ' if you can beat your enemy make them your friend '." King Oscar replied.

"But what if they have another reason behind it.... Like why all of a sudden." He asked

"Don't worry your men will be able to defend and protect is if anything goes wrong. Just keep your eyes on every strange move they make." King Oscar said with reassurance.

"Send me Lola. Right now." King Oscar said.

"Yes sir." Chief guard said as he stood up from his bent position.

    A young lady entered the throne room slowly. She is on black Palazzo trousers,with a black vest and a white blazer on top. She is also a vampire. She has good curves and shape. Bright Amber eyes, light skinned a little bit tan. Long brown hair. She moves closer to him and bowed down her head.

"Yes, my king. You called." Lola said calm and smooth tone.

"My adviser, you can raise your head." King Oscar said with a smile.

     Lola being the only child if her parents, inherited their position at an early age compare to others. She lost both parents to the last Balians war. She had been train for years until she was capable of the role laid on her shoulders. A faithful adviser for the last thirty years.

"Thank you, my king. My king you look in a good mood. Why? If I may ask." Lola said in a curious tone.

" I accepted a truce with the Balian's leader and some of  his important high post holders will be present. " King Oscar said.

"When will it take place." Lola asked.

"Today, here as usual. At eight O clock." King Oscar said looking around the throne room.

"My king.... Are you sure they don't have any other plan. Remember what they did to your brother and my parents...." Lola said holding in her tears.

"The guards will be there to protect us." King Oscar said.

" okay Sir. If you say so."Lola said.

"Good."

"Wow short notice. Okay I will make this place beautiful." Lola said exposing her dimples.

"Not too bright colours." King Oscar said.

"I know you by now. Trust me." Lola said.

"I do. You have never let me down or will you let me down soon?." King Oscar said.

"Never, will I try that." Lola replied sharply.

"Good, you shouldn't." King Oscar said with a smirk.

"And put Derek on the line. I need to inform him and tell other lords, chiefs and advisers." King Oscar added in a commanding voice.

"Yes, my king." Lila said as she moved out and comes back shortly with a golden telephone in her hands.

"Sir, he is in the line." Lola said as she puts the telephone on the stool at the side of the throne and hands him the phone.

"Yes, Lord Derek." King Oscar said.

"Good day, my king. You don't call except on important issues. What happened. I don't have much time." Derek said with rudeness traced in every word.

"You still sound as rude as ever. When and who will change you. Oh, that reminds me have you found her." King Oscar said.

" who?" Derek acts like he doesn't understand.

"Stop acting like you don't know. Your uncle knows when you are lying." King Oscar said with a smile.

"Yea, you caught me like always." Derek said in a good tone.

"Have you found your mate." King Oscar said in curiosity as he waited patiently for the answer.

"Yes, I have." Derek said.

"Why that voice, what's wrong." King Oscar asked.

"Well the thing is.....she is human." Derek said as he covered his ears knowing king Oscar was going to shout.

"What!!!!" In a loud tone.

"Yeah, now you see what's wrong." Derek said.

"This can't be. The next in line for the throne mate is human, not even the weakest vampire." King Oscar said with concern traced in every word.

"What's wrong, have this happened before? To who?." Derek said and keeps quiet for a moment and soon found out that king Oscar was hesitating.

"Tell me, now." Derek increased his tone.

"It was to the last emperor king before me. He was the strongest vampire in the clan at that time. He dominated all the clans. I was also the next in, just like you." King Oscar said and stopped .

"Okay,continue." Derek said.

"He fell in love with a maiden in the human realm. That why I told you not to go there in the first place. Good things never happen to vampires there." King Oscar said in regret.

"I had to find her and she wasn't in the vampire realm or the Balian's but in the human realm. I just had to and that's the only way to be fully qualified to be the vampire king after you." Derek said.

"....his fate changed and everything became complicated. She also fell for him and married in the human realm. He told her his real identity, but she still loved him. She was pregnant with his child, a girl which is a taboo and had never happened. He tried to cover what happened for many years but soon everyone found out. The present Balian leader went against him and turned his people against him all for power and position. They killed him and the Balian's leader used his power to become very strong and formed his own realm."

"Wait, the Balian's worked with us before." Derek said in a surprised tone.

"Yes, he was the head adviser to the emperor."king Oscar answered.

"Wow! Continue."

"He killed the emperor and looked looked for the maiden after years of running away and hiding the child. They framed a story to the family members by bribing the doctor to say it was a disease, which it wasn't.

I helped a little as being the next in line to the throne. I knew all the details about both of them and the child. The place they lived and other things. I told the maiden what happened to her husband but I wasn't able to save her as I had promised....I came too late after she was dead. I took the child to her aunt's place and she was saved.

I wonder if she is half vampire or just human. But I really wish I could meet her again. She will be around your age, you will obviously be older than her." King Oscar concluded.

"Nice....but if it's that case I will not fall in love with her." Derek said.

"I doubt that is possible, as far as she is your true mate she holds you in her hands. One kiss will do the trick." King Oscar sprouted out.

"Fine, whatever. So what did you actually want to tell me earlier." Derek said as his ride tone came back.

"Oh, I almost forgot. The Balian's want a truce." King Oscar said.

    Derek stopped for a moment to process the information and replied in a loud tone.

"What?!?!?."

"Yes, you heard me. A truce."king Oscar said again.

"With who again?." Derek asked expecting a different thing from king Oscar's mouth but his expectations was cut off.

"Yes. The Balian's."

"Why! They have a plan. You can't trust them. We can't agree." Derek yelled.

"I don't trust them. We have to keep the enemy at a close range to attack. Beside I am not as stupid and dumb as you think I am; I have guards to watch all over the place for any strange move." King Oscar assured Derek but he still doesn't seem to agree.

    Lola enters, cutting the conversation to give an important information.

"Sir sorry to disturb. I have informed everyone and they all will be present." Lola said with a shabby smile.

"Okay, thank you."

"Need me for anything else?"Lila asked.

"No, I will inform you. If I the need arises." King Oscar with a smile.

"Okay I will be on my way out." Lola said as she turned to the huge door.

  King Oscar cleared his throat to get Derek's full attention.

"So, when, where and what time." Derek asked.

"Eight O clock this evening at the throne room."

"Okay, but why. After all they have done to us. Kill your own brother my father and mother."

"I understand, but some things just have to go for now. Anger will not help you revenge them. It is wisdom." King Oscar said.

"What you wouldn't revenge." Derek asked in a surprised tone.

"I will but let's play along. I know something is going to happen and them coming has a purpose for sure. Because the Balian's don't need us to fight any war." King Oscar said calmly as he played with his short beards.

"Okay, I will cancel my other schedule and come visit the seer." Derek said.

" okay then." King Oscar said as he cuts the Cal and gave out a loud sigh of relief.
