Chapter four

The man dropped dead on the floor, and Lucifer stood up. Raising his head, he licked the trail of blood from his lips, before teleporting to his throne again. Staring into space, his eyes blazing red, the aura around him darkened, sending shivers down their spines.

"Miguel, drop his body on the street." He said in his cold deep voice, and with that, he teleported to the garden. Appearing in the garden, he sighed softly, his bloodshot eyes, gazing into space, as the gentle wind, blew on his face, swaying his hair in rhythm with the direction of the wind, but his eyes remained unblinked.

After staying in the garden for what seemed like forever, he finally teleported to his room, and in the next seconds, he walked into his spacious bathroom.

Stepping into the very large and spacious bathroom, he got rid of his cloak, and flung it away, before reaching out to his leather jacket, revealing his breathtaking abs, which no one can resist drooling at. In split seconds, he was standing, under the shower, as the water ran down his body.

Slowly, he ran his fingers through his flawless and spotless skin, from his hair, which were now wet, and clinging to his face, to his not too long neck, and when his hand reached his broad chest, he took his time to wash it before proceeding to his abs.

After almost two hours of standing under the shower, he finally turned it off, and grabbed his towel, before hanging it dangerously around his waste. Running his fingers through his hair one more time, he headed to the door, and twisted the doorknob, before stepping into his room.

Walking over to the dresser, he sat down elegantly, and grabbed the blower, before taking his time to dry his hair. He could hire maids to take care of him, right? But they all sucks him, he can't stand the sight of them, he hates people around him, he always likes staying alone.

Reaching out to the lotion, standing on the dresser, he applied some on his fresh skin. Standing up from the dresser, he walked over to his cabinet, and opened it, as his eyes ran through the tons of clothes in it, which are all black, with no other single color. He selected a pair of black trouser, and a black T-shirt to match it.

In less that an hour, he was standing before the mirror, dressed in all black, with a black sunglass, laying across his face, fitting him perfectly.

Walking over to his king size bed, he picked his car keys from it, before heading to the door, and soon, he stormed out of his room....

      Lucifer POV

Storming out of my room, I headed straight to the stairs, that leads out of the basement to my big mansion, and I climbed it, till I got to the room, where it ended. Stepping out of the basement, I headed to the door, and opened it, before stepping out, as I was welcomed with the hallway.

Walking through the hallway, I got to the deck of the grand staircase, and in a flash, I climbed down, and sauntered to the door, before storming out of the house, and straight to the parking lot. I just want to go out today, and feed my eyes, it's been years since I last go out in the daytime, and this wouldn't hurt, right?

Running my eyes through the numerous cars at the parking lot, I finally settled with a black sport car, matching my dress, and without wasting time, I hopped in, and drove out of the compound, and soon, I was already on my way to God knows where. Since I got no particular place in mind to visit, I think I'll just tour around the city and see the views for some hours, before going back to the den.

Driving on the road, with my eyes fixated on the road, while my hands did magic on the steering wheel, and after what seemed like forever, my instinct suddenly told me to stop, and I stopped my car in front of a fancy restaurant. Stepping out of the car, I closed the door, and adjusted my sunglass, before heading to the entrance door, which opened as soon as I got close, and I stepped in.

Stepping into the restaurant, I looked around, and I must confess, it isn't looking so bad. Walking over to an empty seat, close to one of the windows, I sat down elegantly, keeping my gaze out of the window, while maintaining a straight face as usual. Humans keeps trooping in and out of the restaurant, but I was able to suppress the urge of sucking their blood. Of course I'm a special vampire, that's why I can live amongst humans, without harming them, though I haven't lived with one before, but I'm sure I can.

The voice beside me, jolted me back to reality, and tilting my head to look at the source of the voice, I was welcomed with a young lady, staring down at me, with a questioning look on her face.

"Hello sir, are you placing your order now?" She asked again, while looking at me.

Staring at her blankly, thinking of what to say. I haven't tasted any human's food in my entire years of existence, so this is difficult.

"Red wine will do." I finally said, after a long silence, without a hint of friendliness in my voice.

"Oh sorry sir, but this is a restaurant, we don't sell red wine here, do you rather I get you a glass of water?" Her voice came on again. Anger surged through me, as I stared deeply into space, but I tried as much as not let it take over me. Why the heck is she trying to frustrate me now, huh?

Letting out a soft sigh, I just nodded simply, even if I know I haven't tasted it before, not that I'm planning to though.

She smiled and wrote down something on the book she was holding, before walking away, not after taking permission from me. Gosh, humans are so annoying.

My eyes darted to two young ladies, sitting on the chairs across me, eating. Looking closely at them, I found them suspicious, so I got into one of their heads and read her thoughts.

"I just pray we don't get caught." I heard her voice in my head, and I smirked, as it dawned on me, what they were planning on doing.

After a few minutes, they both nodded to each other, before standing up. Letting out a soft sigh, I stood up and started walking towards them. Once I got behind them, I waited for their action, and as they turned to start running, one of them collided on my chest, and fell roughly on her butt, wincing in pains. Now let's see how you'll run away...

Chapter 30It's midnight and I'm still yet to fall asleep. A lot of things have been running through my mind and all effort to get some sleep have proven abortive. Even if I wanted to shut my mind out of all distractions and get some sleep, I couldn't do it as I always found my mind drifting off. For hours, I've been having the delusion that someone is watching me, I feel like I'm being watched by an unknown creature and I must confess that it's really driving me to the edge of craziness. Why would anyone watch me? It's late in the night and everyone should be asleep, right? Letting out a sigh for the umpteenth time, I sat up on the bed and glanced at Nina who was fast asleep on her bed, she slept so peacefully and I wished I could get a peaceful sleep like her too. The sudden violent wind from outside motioned the curtains violently and penetrating the room and I realized that the windows were left opened. Nina was the last person to sleep yesterday, she must have forgot to close th

Of course, I'm wearing something professional, a black skirt and a white polo shirt. Well, all thanks to Nina I have to dress like this. What would I have done when she was on my neck to dress like this, even after knowing that I'm not yet employed in the company. "You've said that like a million times already, and j always told you that I will remember that each time you had said that, so can I go already?" I asked frustratingly and she smiled, straightening my chin with her fingers. "One more thing," She excused herself and rushed to pick her body spray, almost emptying th

He keeps wondering where the guts came from, he had been wondering where the girl came from, no one dares to do that and to think that the person doing this was just an ordinary human, keeps driving him crazy. His breath thickened as it now came out in grunts, he was just trying so much to control his anger and he didn't know how long he'd be able to control himself. He closed his eyes briefly and threw his head back, trying to calm down. Of course, he knew what would happen if he happens to lose control of himself. After all, he made me pass through because of this hairpin, I can't thank him again, not now and not forever. "Hey! Not even a thank you?" I strode through the hallway, till I got to the front of our door and I pushed the door open before making my way in. Stepping into the room, I breathed out as I threw myself on the bed, a smile laced up my lips. Seeing my hairpin in my hand, I couldn't be any less happy. This dude is obviously losing his mind, and this whole thing is confusing, it's damn crazy. "Hello young man, I don't think I've seen your face before, how may I be of help, please?" Mom asked him, and I chipped in. "Mom..., go have some rest, I'll take it up from here." I said to mom, and she gave me an 'are you sure' look. Her heart thumping heavily against her chest, her fear has finally come true, what she had been trying to hide for years has finally been out. "Why did you lie to me about dad's death?" Lilly asked, as she finally took her gaze to look at her, her eyes demanding an answer. "Tha...that? I told you, Lilly, your dad...""Was killed by a vampire."
