LOGINERIC'S POVI was glad I hadn't left Dragovich's home when Yuri stormed into the clinic. I could tell from the look of his face and most importantly his eyes, that he was just off from a fierce argument or maybe a fight with someone within the four walls of the mansion. I had just gotten back from my meeting with Sergio Moretti where I had told him about the presence of a large number of Dragovich's extended family. He didn't seem so walked up about it and I guess I also shouldn't. He suggested it could be because of anything but it would be in our favor if they were here for some kind of leadership restructuring. I knew I needed to know more and maybe speak less. No way Yuri would give out relevant information to me if he sensed I was being nosey. I stood at a corner of the room, my head bowed to the ground as Yuri paced on and on in the room he then rested into a chair in exhaustion. He seemed lost in thought and I didn't know if the appropriate thing to do was to stand still or lea
ADELE'S POV The dining hall wasn't silent, especially due to the continuous rant of Miss Patricia. According to her, she preferred I call her aunt Patricia. The silent stare and cold gaze passed my way by everyone present made my skin crawl. Why the hell was Arina not present? Things certainly would have been less awkward in that situation.“So where are you from?” I heard the thick masculine voice who had his gaze fixed mostly on me since I arrived. The aged looking man certainly seemed like an enemy.“I'm from Houston,” I muttered out. He lifted up a brown and then made a slight sound with his throat.“Mmmmm,” He paused and looked back at Angel.“And your parents?” I wasn't expecting the question as I had a glass of water in my hands, ready to gulp into it. I put it down and funded with my fingers.“Same place,” He nodded I guess maybe in understanding and I hoped he wasn't gonna ask any further question.“I travel there mostly during winter, it's a lovely place to be,” I looked to
ADELE'S POV“Why the hell are you dragging me off?” I inquired of Angel in a low tone, but clear enough so he could hear. He wouldn't let go of my hands until we were right in front of my door. He pushed the door knob open and walked inside, still holding tightly to my hands. I groaned in frustration, I never locked my door whenever I went out, maybe Angel would have spoken to me by asking for the key once we got to the door, but I clearly was some careless fellow. He let go of my hands once he shut the door behind him and turned towards my direction.“What the hell do you think you are doing?” He asked, counting his words one after the other. I looked away from him, but said nothing in response, at least I now know the last thing Angel wanted of me was getting an inch close to his family. He had dragged me out from the sitting room after I kept pre
ANGEL'S POVI had a lot to do for the day, but I found myself worrying if Adele wasn't gonna drop by to get some clean clothes. Maybe I should call her, or maybe I should take breakfast to her at work. What if she slept for too long and hadn't gone to work, there was no way she had an alarm set for the following day at Camilla's place. I found myself pondering on those words after hearing her alarm ring. I found myself tapping my fingers on the screen of my tab, part of it was to restrict myself from calling her. I finally gave up, but chose some other method. As if Joe was aware of the reason why I had called him, he gave off a breakdown of what Adele had been up to for the morning.“She just arrived at her studio!” He began and I looked into my screen to confirm what time it was, it was unlike Adele to go late to her place of work.“And she stopped by at McDonald's to pick up breakfast!” I nodded in satisfaction as I heaved lightly. I spent the rest of my day putting a lot together
ADELE'S POVI held my breath for what felt like eternity as Angel wouldn't say a thing at the other end of the line, I could hear his breathing at the other end of the line but couldn't focus on that as Camilla stared right at me, her eyes bulging out of its socket. I pressed my hands into my phone's speaker. The last thing I would want is for her to hear my conversation with Angel. She had earlier pushed me back into the chair when I made an attempt to go somewhere else where I could answer the phone.“Are you alright?” I heard Angel's voice whisper at the other end of the line and I paused for a moment. He sounded too calm, too relaxed. The first word I anticipated was something along the lines of ‘where the hell are you?’, or don't think you could run away from me. I cracked my voice and nodded lightly, only then did I realize he couldn't see me and I had only ended up giving a response to Camila.“Yeah I'm fine,” I muttered out in response.“You ain't in the building,” Angel pause
ANGELS POVI stared at Yuri as he blabbed about some shit I had never heard of before. According to him, the Dragovich's often did some amendment and reshuffling of the leadership therein of the clan. There was to be some sort of thorough surgery to determine my position, if I was to be following with his words, my position as the Capo de Capi was being threatened, and this time not from rival clans but mine. I knew deep down there was something else I wasn't being told. All my life I had lived under this room, although most times I was out of the country, but that didn't change the fact. There was no way an information as trivial as that wouldn't have gotten to my ears, or wouldn't have been part of the clans books.“I'm just gonna go put the clinic in another one,” Yuri said as he got up on his feet to leave, he had been speaking for the longest of times. Weirdly, that happened to be the longest our conversation had reached since we became adults. I nodded in response and I knew he
