MasukERIC'S POV I woke up the following morning with a renewed energy, I believed my plans were gonna work out and today certainly would be the day I have Adele's head on my tray, I had instructed the men be prepared to leave for the haunt as early as possible, the only thing needed of me was to get a cell phone I could use to lure her out, they was no way she would react favourably to a text message if the sender were to be me, I couldn't implicate myself, but it sounded like a great idea if I made use of a missing cell phone to drop off the message. I wasn't the best thief of all time, but it wouldn't be a bad idea if I tried. I got up on my feet as I hurried out of my little crib, the plan was to get a cell phone by all means, if that also didn't work out, maybe I would have the men I hired also do the job, today was all we got and I couldn't afford to lose that.I roamed around the street in search of whoever had its phone hanging out, but after a while of aimless pursuit, the thought
ANGEL'S POVI walked into the room after dashing out to go get some warm water, and there was Adele standing right in front of me, looking dazed. I didn't know how to react at the moment, they was a mix of relief, worry and confusion I'm my face. She stood staring at me like I was some weird looking creature which she had never seen before, I blinked briefly upon realizing she earlier had a drip fixed on her. She didn't actually pull that out, did she? I asked myself as I looked down to her wrist. They only was a little bandage which stuck right on her wrist and a little amount of blood plastered up on it. I frowned my face in worry as I made an attempt to walk closer to her.“You are up?” I managed to voice out as I walked closer to her.“Why did you take that out?” I asked further as I p
ANGEL'S POVI had never felt so worried in my entire life than I did in the past twelve hours of Adele laying on the bed. The doctor had said she was resting up but different thoughts wouldn't stop flooding into my head. I spent the rest of my day sitting and staring at unconscious Adele or better still as the doctor had said sleeping Adele, the doctor had said there was no major havoc caused on her except for the physical wounds we all could see and she only needed bed rest. I chose to believe that, but still I wouldn't leave her side, I found myself hovering around her with the excuse that she was my responsibility. The only time I had left from her side was when Rosalyn came in with a change of cloth.I hadn't let anyone in except for the doctor, not even Arina. I didn't want any form of disturbance to Adele, but I knew it was necessary that she had a change of cloth so she cou
ADELE'S POVThe sound of birds chirping around at the window grew louder with each passing minute. I tried to focus on something else other than that, but it felt as though they were directly in my ears. I wasn't ready to pull my eyes open for fear of the unknown, if I could remember, the last time my eyes came shut, pulling it back open became the greatest mistake of my life. The horror of what had happened to me began to replay in my head as I cringe in fear, the memory of me almost getting raped and maybe almost being killed flashed right in my head. But then I remembered the last thing I had seen before blacking out, it was Angel, it had to be Angel. Or maybe I was being delusional. I gasped lightly as I pulled my eyes open.“Angel!”I muttered out upon remembering it was the last word that came off from my mouth before I blacked out. I looked around t
ANGEL'S POVI got to the location where Joe had sent me and found his car parked in the woods, he stood behind it as he kept his gaze right on a path. Without wasting time, I dashed out of the car and hurried in my steps towards him. He had just noticed my arrival as he turned and gave off a slight bow.“Why are you out here?” I asked, looking back at the direction where he had kept his attention earlier. There was a building at the extreme end, it looked dilapidated and I guessed it was some abandoned project. I looked from Joe to the building as I waited on him to speak.“They went into the building!” He added, pointing towards the building I had earlier suspected. I scanned around it and found a car parked up at the left Axis of the building.
ADELE'S POVI heard inaudible whispers not so far away from me but I kept my eyes closed as I remembered vividly the incident of just a while ago. The room smelt of wood and dust and the floor where I laid felt so cold and hard, I tried to guess where I could be without pulling my eyes open as my heart beat grew louder by the seconds, I didn't want any of the people in the room realizing I was now awake. I was visibly shaking and knew for a fact that whoever it was certainly would have noticed I was up already if he stood a bit close to me. I tried so hard to figure out who it was as I kept on raking my brains about who my enemies were, I could place my hands around any who would do a thing of such to me, it couldn't be Angel or any of his men, they wouldn't stoop sow low to do this to me.I immediately began to regret not accepting the lift from Joe, and even deciding to leave so early. What the fuck was I even thinking? But then it dawned on me, what if it was Angel and he had reali
