**Easton's POV**

I sat in the office after the meeting, feeling uneasy. I had no idea why Nicole wasn't here already. I even went as far as looking down from the glass in my office to see if she had entered but there was no sight of her.

I sighed and ran my hands through my hair. I don't know if I'd be able to wait much longer. A knock sounded on the door, drawing my attention.

“Come in,” I answered and the door opened.

My secretary, Linda, entered and bowed. “Sir, a lady is here to see you. I asked if she had an appointment but it seemed she had none. She said she had come to deliver something to you.”
