Chapter 3

Author: Wendy Gill
I still had no idea what was going on, even when Zane was gone. ‘What has gotten into him? Didn’t I give in to him?’

System was none the wiser. [I can feel his rage, but he seems upset at the wrong thing.]

I was not having it. ‘He ditched me and stormed off. Isn’t that good enough?’

System could not put its finger on the matter.

However, System picked up on the way Zane looked at me before he took off. It seemed he was more turned on than annoyed.

The last scene was about walking all over Damian Sheffield, a total crybaby.

The assignment was to stage a dramatic act of abuse where I would call him my pet.

I rubbed my chin. ‘That’s pretty intense. Sure, he’s a pushover, but he might be mad enough to take a swing at me.’

System: [Relax, Host. I will send you back to your world once you run the entire script in three days.]

It was all the assurance I needed.

With the get-out-of-jail-free card, I could blow the whole thing up.

Late at night, I snuck into Damian’s residence and used chains to secure his neck and bound his hands and feet to the four posts of his bed.

Damian opened his eyes in a daze and asked in a fluster, “Willow, what are you doing here? Why am I tied up?”

I stood on the bed, my heel pressing under his chin. As if that was not enough, I spoke in a teasing, suggestive tone.

“What’s wrong? Don’t you like this?

“Too bad, I love it.”

The tip of my heel traced a line along his body, and he began to tremble.

I thought Damian would burst into tears in humiliation and end me in rage.

However, he simply pursed his lips and stared at me, his gaze dark and intense.

“Willow, since when are you into these games?

“Are you doing these things to me alone or the others too?”

I lowered my gaze at him in shock.

Surprisingly, Damian was not mad at all. He was supposed to be the sweetest, most well-mannered crybaby.

System kept urging me to unleash torture.

The point was to make him cry.

Once I was done with the final scene, I would go back to my world as a billionaire.

Steeling myself, I whacked a rope hard against Damian’s chest.

“The treatment is exclusive to you. I love you the most.”

“Snap!” The sound was crisp and sharp.

The rope marked Damian’s chest with a thin red welt.

Damian looked up at me with teary eyes and rasped out, “It hurts, Willow.”

“It’s supposed to hurt.”

It would be weird if he did not feel any pain from taking the beating.

I roughed him up and delivered the rest of my lines.

“Damian, this is proof of my affection for you. Do you like it?

“You’re only fit to be my pet for the rest of your life, understand?”

The man in my captivity suddenly looked me straight in the eyes. “The rest of my life? Are you going to stay with me forever?”

I blurted without thinking, “No.”

Why would I even stick around? I’d be going back home in my world after finishing the scene tonight.

The smile on Damian’s face vanished, and he abruptly broke free and threw me onto the bed.

Infuriated, Damian pressed his lips tightly together, his eyes raw with veins.

“Willow, you can’t just toy with me when you plan to walk away straight after.”

I was taken aback to see Damian looking hurt and furious.

Out of my three assigned targets, Damian was the most gullible. He would never raise his hand or his voice. All he did was cry.

Yet, Damian was retaliating and questioning me for once.

Something did not seem right. Instead of getting mad about the unnecessary force, Damian was focused on something else.

I asked in confusion, “Did you bug my phone, Damian?” The hysterical man on the other end of the line went radio silent. That was pretty messed up. I tossed the phone far away. After dinner with Maddox, I started to look into studying abroad as a way to find freedom. I was surprised by my parents’ full support when I brought the subject up that night. It was my cue to book a flight to Hawaii for the next week, for I feared that System would send me back to my original world before I had a chance to enjoy myself. I didn’t plan on telling anyone about my trip to Hawaii. I would just leave without drawing attention. However, Damian showed up at the check-in desk at the airport. He waved at me with a smile. I rolled my eyes in frustration. “Don’t tell me that you’re tracking my itinerary, too.” He gave my cheek a little squeeze, his eyes welling up. “You hitched a ride with Zane and had dinner with Maddox. Now, you’re running away to Hawaii…“Willow, is it hard for y

Once I got home, I greeted my two cash cows with a huge smile. “Mom, Dad, I’m back.” There on the living room sofa, I quickly noticed an unexpected guest. I uttered in surprise, “Maddox, what are you doing at my place?” Maddox looked at me. “Willow, what’s with that look? Do you not want me here?” He hung his head low, looking hurt and sad. I was lost for words. Even Mr. Machoman, Maddox, was slipping out of character.I could not believe he looked so fragile. My mother snapped an intimidating look at me before offering Maddox comfort. “Of course, you are welcome here, Maddox. We adore you. You should come by more often, and we’ll make you something delicious.” Maddox had that upright, wholesome look my parents loved in a boy. However, as rugged as he was, Maddox started to turn all sweet and manipulative. “Mr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald, you don’t have to make me feel better. Willow just doesn’t want to see me. I’d better get out of her hair. “You make the best casserole,

“You were glued to me when we were kids. Sure, you’d spread all sorts of rumors, but you were always right behind me.” Zane took off his gold-rimmed glasses and kneaded his temples helplessly. “But why are you avoiding me now, Willow?“You even pulled a disappearing act on me. Do you know how many days I’ve spent searching for you?”His cool voice carried a faint trace of anger.I blinked innocently. “I hope you’re not expecting me to make up some crazy rumors about you like before. I thought your employees were already aware of your stomach issues.” Zane had no words. “Maybe you’d prefer that I go through the whole ‘kick and beg’ routine again?” I raised my brow cheekily while rising on my tiptoes to blow a wisp of air into Zane’s ear. Zane’s earlobes burned scarlet. He flinched back a step. I burst out laughing at his strong reaction. However, my snickering did not last long as Zane wheezed an affirmation. His little ‘uh-huh’ threw me off. I had to suspect th

“I was wondering if you’d stashed a girl here.” Before I had a chance to shout for help, Maddox’s comment shattered my hopes. Maddox folded his arms. “When Willow gets back, I’m not letting her off the hook this time. It’s unacceptable for her to disappear for no reason.” While talking, Maddox could not hide the anger in his wild, careless eyes. I froze. Damian shot an indifferent look in my direction, sending chills down my spine. I scrambled back the way I came, retreating to his room. Back in the room, I sighed. “I’ve been caught. It looks like I’m not going anywhere.” Moments later, Damian returned with a long face. “What’s wrong, Willow? Weren’t you trying to run?” I gasped sharply. Alas, I had to put up with his attitude to save my bottom from another spanking. Taking Damian’s hand, I gave it a gentle shake. I batted my eyelashes and said in a pout, “No, I missed you because you weren’t there when I woke up. I went out to find you. You can’t be mad at me

The smile on Damian’s face filled me with dread. I frantically summoned System in my mind, but my calls went unanswered. I was completely alone in the silence. It was not as if I could run away. The door was locked, and I could not get out of the bedroom. Damian rose to his feet, his gentle eyes shifting with a look of doubt and innocence. “Why are you running, Willow? Didn’t you say that I was your favorite pet?“What are you scared of?” I shuffled back until my back slammed against the wall. There was nowhere to run. “What do you want?” “What do I want?” He chuckled softly, his wounded and innocent expression long gone. His gaze grew with intensity. “You, of course.” It was a side to Damian that I hadn’t seen before. He was nothing like the person I knew. Amid my confusion, darkness swallowed me, and I passed out. I woke up to chain shackles around my ankles. No matter how hard I struggled, I could not break free. When I cocked my head back, my eyes met Dam

Before reality caught up to me, Damian’s lips claimed mine in a heated kiss.My eyes widened in shock. Holy moly! The most harmless crybaby stole my first kiss. My mind went blank. In a moment of clarity, I bit down hard, shoved him away, and scrambled for my life. Then came System’s notification once I took shelter at home. [Congratulations on completing the wicked villainess’ storyline. Only thirty minutes remain on the countdown to your return to your world.]My cheeks were burning, and my head was a whirlwind of emotions up until that point. A wave of thrill washed over me. My heart was racing, and my hands were shaking. That was right. I must not forget that none of this was real. The only reality of mine was back home.I was dying to get back home and be a billionaire. Before my departure, System asked me to write an email to the three of them. The message should come from the heart, and I would get a bonus. It was all the motivation I needed to type furiousl
