Tokunbo(Came from the sea)

We were taken back to their mansion, the journey was a very quiet one for a while, with the siblings giving themselves strange looks, and occasionally, Lokun and Shunbun would smile. Kunbi wouldn't take his eyes off me until I couldn't take it anymore.

"You don't need to scare me, you know?" I shouted.

"Stop being weird, brother," Lokun intervened.

"By not being weird you mean I should stop being myself? Because that is what our kind is to hers, weird! And that is why they would hunt us down like dogs while we have protected them over and over again," Kunbi replied.

"Just leave her alone, Kunbi! She is not her family!" Shunbun interrupted.

"Don't tell me what to do, Shunbun! She is the enemy and the only reason this human still draws breath is that our foolish brother, Lokun claimed her!"

"He what?" I exclaimed, turning to Lokun for answers.

"Yes I claimed her and that means she is family and you cannot touch her! Shout all you want but that is the law. Now leave her be!" Lokun ignored my question.

The vehicle came to a stop in front of the house and the gate opened. I was expecting their father to be the one at the gate but we were greeted by the smile of a younger person. "Certainly their younger brother or a family member at least," I thought. I could see the surprise on their faces too so I immediately thought "oh they mustn't have seen this person in a while." They certainly were not expecting him, but the resemblance was so clear. He had the same hair color, the same body build, and the same body arts but he appeared younger.

"Hello, motherfuckers! Are you losers happy to see me or what?" he asked as he laughed loudly.

"Tokunbo, how is it that you're here?" Lokun asked.

"Aren't you supposed to be in a prison somewhere for killing your uncle?" Shunbun asked.

"Oh, so you guys are just going to lay my business bare in front of these strangers? Anyway, I escaped Prison. You guys are now exiles too so...quit being so judgemental."

Kunbi was quiet when the other two questioned him, he suddenly walked towards him, grabbed him by the shoulders, and hugged him warmly.

"Welcome home, Tokunbo," he slapped his shoulders, and they both giggled.

"Oh, may the gods help us now," Lokun whispered.

"At least be useful for once, help us get the unconscious human girls into the house," Shunbunmi said.

"You know I am always happy to serve, your highness. What are the humans for, by the way? Dinner?" he stared at me strangely, rubbing his tongue against his lips.

"Let them be, Tokun. They are guests, Lokun's guests."

"Oh, I see my brother has not let go of his desire for female humans. How quickly he forgot about what happened to the last one."

Lokun snapped, he ran towards him, Tokunbo's eyes widened in fear, he staggered back trying to escape but it was too late. Lokun grabbed him by the neck and landed a blow to his stomach, he cried in pain. Lokun pushed him against the truck with his left hand, staring into his eyes. Lokun's eyes started glowing blue like it did the first time I saw his true form, he waved his right hand and a dagger made of ice materialized in his hand and he set it on Tokun's neck.

"You are no brother of mine, Tokunbo! And the earlier you know this, the earlier you'll watch what you say to me, the things you say in my presence, and how you act. Because if you give me even the slightest of reasons, I wouldn't think twice before ending you.

"Father is the only reason I don't hack you into chunks and feed you to Ajeton right now. It would be better to let him do it himself."

"Enough of this squabbling! You act like children," Mr. Omishore's voice ended the altercation and Lokun immediately disintegrated the weapon he held and let Tokun go.

Shunbunmi who had been quietly watching them walked over to their father, he stood in front of the giant doors of the main building, dressed in his nightclothes. Shunbun hugged him and kissed his forehead, then walked into the house like everything that had happened and was about to happen was not in any way her concern.

"Of course, she gets a pass," Kunbi whispered.

"So...which of you featherheads want to explain this topsy-turvy?" their father asked.

"Your murdering, thieving, backstabbing, bastard son is back for one," Lokun said.

"Hello, father," Tokun mumbled, bending his head.

"That does not explain why you have your human friends in my house after I told you getting too close with them could bring us a lot of trouble. It is one thing to go to their schools and parties just to blend in but you bring them here?" he ignored Tokun.

"You know none of us would be so foolish to hurt humans, father. You thought us better," Kunbi said.

"I certainly did not teach you enough, you liar! What about the humans you just murdered less than two hours ago? Do you think I wouldn't know? I had to clean your mess, thanks to some loyal humans we still have around here.

"You fools are so naive, you think when I told you to stay away from humans I sought to protect them from you? You are the ones who need protection from humans, never forget that!" he turned and stormed into the house, shaking his head.

We all stood there in silence for a while and then he re-emerged from the house.

"Well, are you bringing them in or not?" he shouted.

This was like a wake-up call as all the boys started moving. We went into the house and it was as beautiful as the last time I was there but my mind was so filled up with questions. They took Zaynab and the other girl to a room and I didn't see them until the next morning.

"Hey, Bisi. Would you like to stay in my room?" Shunbun asked, smiling.

"Yes, of course, I replied."

"Are you sure? My twin sister can be weird sometimes," Lokun asked.

"Well, what else can be weirder at this point?" I replied to him, but he kept quiet for a moment.

He must have thought about how naive I was then because the answer to that question was a lot.

He held my two shoulders and stared into my eyes, all the others suddenly went quiet.

"I know all this must be strange and scary, but I assure you, Bisi. No harm will come to you, I won't let it. I'll explain everything to you once you've had a good night's rest. Then you can choose to know me or forget me. It would be your choice."

Shunbunmi took my hand and we walked towards her room. In the backyard, laughter from Kunbi and Tokun echoed.
