Chapter Fourteen (Part One)

Jordyn hadn’t meant for the question to come out, but it was too late now. She could tell from the way that Jayce was staring at her that he knew what was going on now, and so did the other wolves that were standing there. Why did she have to ask? Now they were going to take her as a weak female and she didn’t want Jayce’s brother thinking that from the beginning. Part of her wished she could just run back up to Jayce’s office and hide from the lingering pity-filled eyes. She cleared her throat, hoping to get an answer instead of the awed stares.

“No.” Josh answered. “Not that I remember anyways, I was unconscious though but when I first woke up, Blaze was kind of in a fury. I wouldn’t say that it didn’t mess with him, but he was still there.”
