Vivian's Awakening Chapter One (Part One)

Jordyn was excited to go back home for the first time since she lost her family to a rogue attack. She had been taken from the eclipse pack when the shifter council got word of what had happened. Since her parents were the alpha and luna of the pack, Jordyn’s little brother Steven was next in line but since he died alongside their parents when he was only four years old, Jordyn was the next in line to be alpha.

Since Jordyn’s family died unexpectedly, she had none of the training it would take for her to become alpha, and the fact that she was female didn’t help matters at all. There had never been a female alpha wolf before, it was completely unheard of, but the shifter council stepped in, training her to be the alpha she was born to be. Seven years passed by as she trained, both physically and mentally, day and night until they said that she was ready to take her place as the alpha of the eclipse pack.

She brushed through her brownish-red hair at least a million times before she felt that it was good enough and just pulled it into a messy bun.  She was nervous and giddy as she packed up her belongings and took them to the car. Jillian and Jade waited by the car as Jake sat in the driver's seat, impatiently tapping his fingers on the steering wheel.

Jillian blew a bubble with her gum as she twirled her long, wavy blonde hair around her finger. Her bright blue eyes met Jordyn’s violet ones and she smiled brightly as she pulled the gum back in her mouth with her tongue.

“Hurry up.” Jade yelled, her shoulder length dark hair was only half put up and her copper colored eyes showed no emotion, although when you looked at her twin brother you could tell that they were both sad that Jordyn was leaving.

“Come on, Jade, you can’t act like you don’t care about her leaving.” Jake peeked his head out the open window of his black mazda.

“I can, and I will, even though we all know it’s a lie, I just can’t believe that Jillian gets to stay.” Jade huffed.

The rest of the council, Jason, Greg, and Leon, stepped out of the large cabin and said their goodbyes, each of them reminding her of a few things from the years of vigorous training before she finally slid into the car. A lone tear slid down her cheek and Silver’s voice rang out in her head. “Are you scared?”

“Why would she be scared, Sil, she has us.” Vivian answered the question before Jordyn had the chance too.

“Why won’t you just tell us what you are already, Viv.” Silver shot back impatiently, her eyes darkened as she argued with the voice that had no form yet.

“Are you alright?” Jillian asked, breaking Jordyn from the argument going on in her head.

“Yeah, Vivian and Silver are just arguing again.” Jordyn answered with a forced smile.

“Well if it’s anything like the last time, I agree with Silver, Vivian should just show herself already.” Jade chimed in.

“Jordyn, are you excited to go home?” Jake asked, looking at her through the rearview mirror.

Jordyn stared out at the trees that she should be familiar with, considering that they bordered her pack lands, but she barely recognized the tall redwood trees. “I don’t know.” she finally answered, feeling her heart beat so fast that it might as well have jumped out of her chest.

“What if you find your mate?” Jillian asked, getting more excited with every word. Jillian was just a few years older than Jordyn, she was sweet most of the time but she was a force to be reckoned with. She earned her spot on the council with blood, sweat, and maybe even tears, whereas Jake and Jade had their spots handed to them when their parents were killed in a rogue attack similar to the one that Jordyn’s family was killed in.

“What if the pack isn’t ready for a female alpha?” Jordyn returned.

“You’ll prove that they need you.” Jake answered calmly. “Whatever happened to that beta of yours that used to drop by all the time?”

“He said his father had him taking over the beta position since he had turned eighteen.” Jordyn answered. “Which meant that he had to cover for me.” The guilt was apparent on her face.

“Jordyn, it’s not your fault, you were never trained to be an alpha when your parents died. We did what was best for the pack.” Jillian tried to be comforting.

“I know.” Jordyn answered as she sniffed the air, smelling a musky sandalwood scent that had her heart racing more than before as they drove through the town of the eclipse pack.

The smell got stronger as they neared the mansion that she vaguely remembered as home. Silver was going crazy, basically scratching at the inside of her head, begging for control. Jordyn barely waited for the car to stop before she got out, but the look on his face made her freeze up and take in his image one more time. His light blonde hair barely reached his eyebrows with waves that almost looked like he forced them, but she knew better his hair had always had that wavy almost messy look since she could remember, but his gorgeous dark blue eyes showed exactly what was about to happen. She took the last few steps toward him as if she was walking the executioner’s block.

“Bastian, you knew, didn’t you? That’s why you stopped coming to see me isn’t it?” She barely held back the tears.

“Jor...” He ran his fingers through his hair, seemingly frustrated. His dark blue, almost grey eyes finally came to meet hers. “We’ve been best friends since we were pups. I fully intended to be your beta, Jordyn, you know I love you…”

“Just fucking say it Bast.” Silver was howling in her head, a howl that Jordyn hadn’t heard since she saw her family brutally murdered. ‘Silver it’s going to be alright.’

“I can’t be with a female alpha…”

“Sebastian, just say it, quit making it harder.” She hadn’t realized that the tears had escaped her hold on them.

“I, Sebastian Collins of the eclipse pack, reject you, Jordyn Rayne alpha of the eclipse pack, as my mate. I Surrender my title of beta of the eclipse pack along with my duty to the pack.”

“Wait, what do you mean you surrender your duties, Sebastian, you can’t just leave.” Jordyn begged, trying her hardest not to drop to her knees from the numbness that she felt through her entire body.

Sebastian stepped forward and wiped the tears from her cheeks, kissing her forehead, ignoring the tingles that she knew they both felt. “If I stay, it’ll torment us both.” He stated as he hiked the bag he had packed on to his back.

Jake and Jade stepped out of the car, growling at Sebastian as he walked past them. Jillian rushed over to Jordyn and ushered her inside the house with her arm around her waist, as if she knew that Jordyn would need steadying. “Are you okay?” Jillian asked.

“I have to be.” Jordyn returned, feeling more numb than she ever had before. She felt like she could physically feel her heart breaking and her body being crushed. It took all of the effort that she could manage to not start throwing up from the pain she was feeling.

“Alpha.” The voice was sweet and she easily recognized it as her other best friend, Myra blindsided her with a hug from the side, her head just an inch lower than Jordyn’s even though she was older.“Myra.” Jordyn said, feeling a sense of relief wash through her as she took in her short brown hair that just barely came to her jawline. She sported a ring in the right side of her nose that Jordyn didn’t remember being there before she left. Jordyn returned the hug quickly. “I missed you.”“I missed you too, alpha.” Myra bowed her head at Jordyn.“Myra, don’t, just Jordyn please.”A few more familiar faces walked through the door, carrying Jordyn’s luggage. Sweat was dripping down her chest and stomach as she slid past him and took him down by his legs, pinning him down quickly in an almost uneventful fight. She knew her pack still had doubts about her being the alpha and she took every opportunity that she could to show them that she was the strongest of them all. A group of them tried to challenge her at one point but none of them succeeded. She easily lost a dozen pack members when none of them could take her down, they just left, not knowing how to handle a female that was stronger than them. She turned to the group of young shifters that were being trained, all of them awestruck at how quickly she took Will down, she gave them a small smile, knowing none of them were even able

She finished her shower and dressed in a pair of black leggings and a grey tank top. She pulled her hair up in a high pony-tail and walked down to Myra and Jillian who rushed her out of the house.Justin was driving since Will and Ethan didn’t like them going out alone, even if it was still on pack lands. Normally Jordyn was fine being escorted out shopping, but Justin had a few too many drinks about a week ago and made a ton of advances on her, begging her to choose him as a mate. It didn’t bother her much, but it definitely made the whole trip awkward. The sun was already close to retreating back into its hiding spot, probably about three more hours before the sun started setting behind the mountain. Jordyn could smell the barbecues firing up for dinner and she knew that the pack was serious about celebrating her Alpha ceremony for the entire week

Chapter Three (Part One)
Jayce left his packhouse early the day before the invitation to the eclipse pack’s alpha’s inauguration. He had some business that he had to settle with the new alpha since they had been having a rogue problem and their treaties were almost up. He figured if he showed up early he could get the matters taken care of before the ceremony and just enjoy the celebration. He mindlinked his beta. ‘David, I’m leaving now, keep an eye out for the pack and I’ll see you tomorrow at the celebration.’ ‘Alpha, are you sure you want to go alone, why not take Stephanie?’ David answered back. ‘I need to get away from that woman.’ Jayce snarled. ‘She brought up getting married again, didn’t she?’ ‘Why can’t she be like any other she-wolf

“The alpha said you can shower and get settled in, the alpha will meet you in thirty minutes.” she stated.Jayce smiled at her as she closed the door, then he walked to the ensuite bathroom and showered quickly, wondering how he was going to approach the alpha about his mate. He was ecstatic that he finally found her, but he knew some alphas were hard to let a pack member go. He washed his hair and body quickly, wondering how that conversation was going to go. He dressed quickly, consumed with his thoughts of the beautiful woman he met by the river. He dressed nicely, knowing that the alpha of the pack was going to have questions about him taking one of the pack members. He wore a navy blue button up shirt and a nice pair of dark blue jeans, he brushed his teeth quickly and hoped that his mate was there when he met with the alpha. He was led to the

A red glow appeared around where Vivian’s voice came from, although it was just a glowy silhouette of Jordyn.‘Uh, Viv, what&r

‘Alpha Jayce.’ the mindlink came through.‘Not now David.’‘It has to be now. Jordyn woke up, almost blinded by the halogenic lights they use in the hospital. Machines were beeping close by her, which just confirmed where she was. Jayce’s hand covered hers. “What happened?” Her voice was weak and barely sounded like her.“I think we met Vivian.” Jillian answered as she walked into view.“What?” She questioned, glancing between Jayce and Jillian. Jayce nodded his answer. “Where’s Myra? I don’t have time to be stuck here.”“I’m right here.” Myra answered as she quietly shut the room door. She was wearing a white lab coat and dark blue scrubs underneath. “Alpha, now that you are awake we have no reason to keep you, we will release you, but we still have no clue as to why you even passed out in the first pla

Myra and Marilyn Wood both stood there. Will and Ethan followed her into the room.“My dear, they need to leave.” Jason stated, his ashy-brown hair almost covering his eyebrows completely.“No!” Jordyn raised her voice causing everyone in the room to flinch. “They are family, just like everyone else in this room.”‘Jordyn, I’m scared.’ Vivian’s voice echoed in her head.‘Everything will be alright, I’m sure.’ Silver comforted her.“What is wrong with m
