“Dinner is ready,” Rose said to her husband who was sitting on the sofa elegantly like a king. He was holding a glass of liquor in his right hand while his one leg was crossed over the other.

The dim light of the room made it hard for Rose to detect her husband's mood. “Are you hungry, Babochka?” Vladimir’s velvety deep voice penetrated her ears and Rose’ heart skipped a beat.

“I…n..no. I am not hungry, Pakhan,” she stammered nervously when Vladimir uncrossed his legs and sat straight. She thought He was about to walk to her and that thought peaked her anxiety.

“Good. So you wouldn't have any problem sitting with me here for a while,” He asked, nodding and Rose shook her head.

“Sit with you?” Rose blinked in surprise.

Even though the room was dimly illuminated she could feel his gaze intensely fixed on her.

“Any problem?” Vladimir’s stern tone erupted goosebumps to her whole body.
