Violet

I don’t even think I remember how I got in last night, those two idiots—

Bang bang bang.

I woke up to a bang on my door, “ ain’t no freaking way” I thought, I spied through the hotel door and saw a police officer.

“ I don’t recall calling the police for an emergency.” I thought

I open the door slightly and saw the two motherfuvkers of last night standing at the door.

“You are miss—?” The police officer asked

“Doesn’t matter why you are here,” I said

“Do you know this man?” He asked

“ I do not,” I said as a matter of fact

“They claim you assaulted them.” The police officer said measuring me with his eyes like how can a girl beat these grown men.

“ I didn’t touch them, how can a weak woman like me assault two grown men,” I said trying to mimic my most babyish voice.

“Oh! I thought about that, but you will need to come with me for questioning.” The police officer said.

“ I didn’t assault them per se, they try to harass me, I lied.”

There is no way I’m going to the station, Papa will find me at once.

The two men barked orders at the police officer, “ Arrest her, she is lying.”

“You still need to come to the station.” The police officer said

“Can I please dress up then, please?” I pleaded with him.

And I close the door, fucking hell, just one night violet tgat you didn’t need to revert to violence but you still found a way to—

Bang bang bang

“ fucking hell, I said I’m coming,” I shouted out

I quickly packed my things in my small bag and changed my clothes and I opened the door.

“ Hello, sister!”

“ What the fuck are you doing here, Marco!” I asked trying to act brave but he chuckled

He stepped closer, pushing my door wider,and turned to the police officers he fixed that stupid Smug smile on.

“ Officer,” he said with practiced concerns “ I believe there has been a misunderstanding, this is my sister. I am Marco Greco.”

The officer eyes widen

“ The Greco family will of course cover the damages we have caused you and compensate this gentlemen for their trouble.” Marco said

“ of… of course, Mr Greco. We can resolve it…” the police officer started

“ you can’t just let her go” the taller one stepped forward interrupting the officer “ she assaulted us…”

“ And she is a Greco, you either take compensation or…” he let the end of the conversation ring a bell for them.

And this stupid said nothing and just turned to walk away with the police officers

Marco turned back to me and grabbed my hands violently. “ Back to your sister.” He said with gritted teeth.

“ I told you not to do anything stupid, didn’t I?” He barked “ And you dare try to sabotage me and Papa’s honour?”

“ Let me go right now, Marco unless you will regret ever coming here,” I shouted pulling myself away from him.

“ Oh! Just like you punched those two fools, right?” Marco grinned pulling me outside the gate of the hotel.

“ I am not going with you, I said let me go,” I said with gritted teeth and I bit on his hands but he won’t budge.

“ Take her to the car.” He said to two bodyguards “ And you better hold her tightly, if she escapes, I will send your head on a platter to your family.” Marco continues.

“ Don’t dare touch me… let me go…Marco told them to let me go!” I screamed

“ I don’t want to marry him, please Marco,” I begged

“Just seal that mouth of hers!” Marco demanded.

I struggled trying to push myself from their arms but didn’t succeed.

I woke up as the drivers pulled into our estate, Papa was standing at the lobby, his lips tight and I could tell I’m in trouble, the body guards pushed me out.

“ Careful with her idiots, one scratch and you will regret your lives,” Papa said.

I walked to him, the seal removed from my mouth.

“Papa, I’m sor…”

I heard the sound before I felt the pain on my cheek

“You want to disgrace me right? Violet? Fighting in a club, running off from your engagement…”

“ I said I didn’t want to get married to him..” I bit back

“Take her to her room and lock her in, until she can think like an adult,” Papa said ordering the guards to bundle upstairs

“ Seems you want to embarrass me, there will be no more engagement, your wedding is today.”

Aleksei

“ Your bride is a fierce one.” Dmitri mocks “ Trying to run away from New York City's most valuable bachelor. Tsk tsk I like her.” He laughs

“ Atleast, she doesn’t want this wedding as much as I don’t,” I say

“ I did a little research on her and she is pretty clean but a little dangerous, the more I read her file the more semblance I see between you both. This will be a match made in heaven.” Dmitri says

“ Give me the file,” I said and he dropped it on my lap walking off,

“I have a party to attend brother, have fun with your little princess.”

I had just opened the file when my phone rang “ Father? What now!” I thought

“ Hello, father!” I said

“ Sent your bride, a gift?” He asked

“ Father, I already said I reject this alliance, I am not going to the engagement party and you cannot force this wedding down my throat,” I said frustrated

“Even for your dying father?” He said nothing at the end

“ Father… Can you stop using your health as a bait for me to yield?” I demanded

“ I do not want to marry anyone and besides I don’t need another loveless marriage.”

“ You loved her, that’s why you are still beating yourself up for what happened.” Father said “ Call Dmitri in two hours, we are going to the Grecos, there is no need to delay this alliance, no more engagement party—“

“ Finally, thank you, father,” I said relieve filling my heart

“ We are just going to get the marriage done today.”

Jezz, I can’t even catch a break with this man, a wedding in two hours.

“The girl in question doesn’t even want me as well,” I say

“ Her father got it sorted out, she is a woman she isn’t hard to please. Get ready and it’s final.” Father said.
