Chapter seven

I glared at them and flashed Sofia a plain look—A look of anger and mixed emotions.

I wondered what would have happened if a guard had not reported to me that she had gone shopping.

“If I were you, I would not try that,” I said coming closer and pulled Sofia behind me, facing Derek

“And what do you think you are doing? you lost all right to her,” i said moving closer to him

I covered Derek up completely— my height towering above his.

“I ha…d no idea she was going to sla…p her” Derek stuttered knowing what I could do.

“Tame your stray dog” I warned, giving him a derogatory stare, before facing the guards with me.

“Pay for the things she bought and meet us at home”

I walked away and Sofia ran after me.

“Were you going to watch her slap you without doing anything?” I snapped immediately we got inside

“I would have stopped her even if you didn't stop her and how did you know where I was?”, She snapped back.

“I have my people with you, remember, I hope that attempt she made won't repeat itself, because nobody touches what is mine”, I said

“I am not yours” she shouted and walk out while I brushed it off with a taut stare

“Wait! Why am I angry?”

I thought but brushed it off and sat down, waiting for the arrival of the guard.”

“They know better than to delay me” I rolled my eyes.

Few Minutes Later

“I gave you guys just a task— watch her and no harm must come to her” I said glaring when the guards entered, their heads bowed

“We are sorry sir,” Leo muttered.

I shot one of them, who screamed out immediately but a glare from me shot him up

“Stand”, Leo said and the guard stood shakily on the knee immediately still in pain

Leo knew better than to go against my order

“It won't happen again”, Leo muttered

“Out!!” I yelled and turned to leave.

I saw shaking Sofia by the way but I didn't even spare her second glance before walking away

She definitely ran out when she heard the guard scream but I don't care, they knew better than to get on my bad side. I must have gotten lenient these days and the fact that I saw guilt eating her up is freaking annoying.

I lay down on the bed with my eye closed.

“I got back from work the next day so late and met Sofia watching a movie. She turned to give me a stare and jumped out of her chair. She faced the stairs and took a few steps.

“Are you really avoiding me? You even skipped dinner last night and breakfast this morning” I muttered sitting to eat

“Avoiding you? In your home? That is not possible” She muttered.

“Then join me for dinner” I said.

“Thank you, but I have eaten or do you want me to watch you eat your royal highness?”Sofia fired, sarcasm reeling in her voice.

"Wow! Your Royal Highness?That sounds good coming from you and that is not a bad idea” I said sitting properly.

“Why did you shoot the guard? It was not his fault that, that whore tried to slap me” She said facing me now.

“Thank goodness you said tried, maybe I would have killed him, if she actually touched you” I muttered.

"Beast” She whispered—i heard her.

I threw down my cutlery and gulped down water from my glass. I pushed the table and stood up, walking away from her.

“Ah,” I paused midway on the stairs, "That means you should be careful if you really don't want me to kill him next time” I threatened, going straight to my room.

I had lost my appetite already

“Go to hell!!” Sofia screamed and rushed into her room

“Lovie I called, get her some food and make sure she eats. I muttered and entered my room.”

The next day, Alex had to attend a banquet and Sofia have to go with him, so he got her dress and asked his P.A to deliver it to her telling her she should be ready by 6;00pm

Wow!!!, “the gown looks breathtaking coupled with gorgeousness she muttered staring at the dress intensely.”

“Even the bag look ravishing Sofia suddenly gushes out, jumping around her room, yahh yahh.

She ran into the bathroom when Lovie asked if she was done bathing

Yes, I am watching her from the office, with a mysterious smile on my face.

“I covered it up immediately knowing fully well that if Jace caught me smiling like this in the office, I wouldn't be free all day, he is going to shoke me with questions “

Why is he even lurking around my office this days, is he that jobless I muttered to myself

At exactly six pm, Sofia is fully dressed with the help of Lovie and they were both gushing excitedly about her appearance.

“Suddenly they heard a knock, definitely Leo, he is here to accompany you Lovie said to Sofia”

“Okay, she said, taking her purse and walked out gently.

“I suddenly turned when I heard footsteps and was lost staring for a moment before I got himself back and covered with a glare”

“All ready I asked, taking her hand”, you look dashing as always” I finally said

“Thank you” she muttered

“Can she do without muttering I asked myself before getting into the car with her”

The driver pulled up in front of ROYAL’S HOTEL

“Time to go and make sure you stay close to me, do not converse with anyone” i said

“Any..body at all, I muttered”

“Noted”, She muttered nervously.

“Release your breathe” I said and got down and went to open the door for her

*He is smoking hot, jeez, look at that emotionless face*

*Who is that lady beside him, they look so perfect*

*Look at the way the gown hugged her curves so well*

“The people around muttered while the reporters were trying to question us but the guards protected us till they entered”

“Heads rolled and eyes turned immediately they entered”,

Alex's dark aura fighting with Sofia's captivating appearance and smile

“Jace greeted me from afar but I just ignored as always”

Few people came closer to discuss business while Sofia wandered close, tasting the fruits, wine and cake but was suddenly blocked by someone with a heavy makeup.

Jeez, “who Is that”

“Wait, Phoebe, what's with the heavy makeup i thought” but was suddenly interrupted

Sofia tried keeping her laughter in until she spoke

“Why are you with Alex”, Phoebe asked.

“Why do you want to know and if you are so anxious to know just go ask him directly” She said definitely wondering why she was questioning her.

“Wow!! I love your confidence, we will meet again, soon” Phoebe said before walking away.

“That was bold of her I thought, before concentrating back on the deal I am trying to acquire”

“Thanks for the compliment” Sofia said after her before laughing out and when she discovered people were staring, she comforted herself.

She look really pressed, as if she was keeping the urine, she walk d up to the guard to ask about me while I just stood at the corner unnoticed when she sighted me and walked over.

“I need to use the restroom she whispered to my ear when she got near

“Jeez her voice sound so perfect, imagining how cute the voice will sound under me”

“Okay and do not stay for long and if you notice anything scream out, I will be there in a blink,” I finally said

“Okay’ Sofia said and walked out

She was done and was rinsing her face when she saw someone behind her through the mirror.

“Sorry, I am sure this is the female restroom, what are you doing here” Sofia said standing upright to. face the man”.

“I saw you with Alex but couldn't come close, what is a beauty like you doing with that Devil”, he said

*What do you think about asking him that, yourself” Sofia said.

‘I love that, sharp tongued huh, he said moving closer and rubbing his hand on her cheek”

Sofia couldn't move and was trying to free herself but she couldn't.

“Stubborn, that is also good, he said kissing her back down to her neck” when Alex barged in suddenly

“My first kick met his face and sent him flying to the wall, the noise attracted attention and people rush in’

“Sofia was in tears and that was enough evidence of what just happened because everyone saw her walk in with Alex”.

“I removed my jacket and covered Sofia up before facing the man.

“I dragged him up and punched him again which got him flying to the wall again.”

“You know better than to tamper with WHAT'S MINE, I muttered with a grunted teeth before getting my gun to shoot him on his arm.”

“Sofia closed her eyes immediately and the man screamed out’.
