Sienna’s POV

The next morning, I woke up to the smell of bacon and something sweet, and honestly, it made me smile before I even opened my eyes.

I stretched a little, still sore in all the right places from the night before. Round two had been even better than round one. Alex brought that energy and passion like he had something to prove, and baby, he did not disappoint.

“Good morning, beautiful,” he said, placing the tray gently on my lap, followed by a long, deep kiss that curled my toes under the sheets. “I’m having such a great time with you. But I need you to eat, get up, and get dressed because we’ve got plans today.”

I giggled. “Yes, sir,” I teased, picking up a slice of French toast and dipping it in the syrup like I hadn’t been spoiled in years.

Knox’s POVFriday night hit different. He grabbed his favorite wings fried hard and fries extra crispy, buffalo style and headed home. He dropped the bag on the coffee table, kicked off his shoes, and let the silence of his apartment wrap around him like an old hoodie, comfortable, but worn out.He turned on some jazz. Real, moody stuff. Horns wailing in the background like they knew exactly how he felt. Then he threw on some Sade.Yeah… that Sade. The kind of voice that could peel back a man’s soul and leave it shivering on the floor. He didn’t even sit while he ate, just stood by the kitchen counter, eating slowly, moping lowkey, walking back and forth around the apartment like he was pacing through thoughts he didn’t want to say out loud. His phone buzzed. A few times. His brother checking in, just to see how he was doing. “You good, bro?”He lied. “Yeah, I’m straight.”Then his mom called, just to tell him she missed him. He softened a bit.And then his dad.“Proud of you, son. Th

Sienna’s POVI leaned back a little, watching him as he poured the wine, his movements smooth, casual, and yet thoughtful, like he’d done this before. Maybe not the candles and the romantic Airbnb part, but the intentionality. It wasn’t just dinner. It was us.“So,” I said, keeping my voice playful but curious, “where’s our room?”He smirked. “Before you go running off, please, don’t go in there yet.”I raised a brow. “Why not?”“It’s a surprise. Just... give me a little time, alright?”I smirked. “I wasn’t trying to peek, I just want to change. I’m not about to eat dinner in airport jeans and a conference badge.”“There’s a bathroom right there,” he nodded, “and another room across the hall. Either works. Take your pick.”I grabbed my bag quickly and dashed off before I could start overthinking things again.Inside the bathroom, I freshened up, washed my face, dabbed a little perfume behind my ears, and changed into the lingerie I brought just in case I found the courage. It was a de

Security already said they’ll watch it while I’m gone.Alex: On it.Sienna exhaled, her pulse quickening not from nerves but from anticipation. She’d been riding the edge of something electric with Alex for weeks. Flirty touches. Deep, knowing kisses. The kind of connection that hummed even in silence. But this weekend... this was new. This was everything finally lining up.She grabbed her boxed lunch and a juice, waved goodbye to the girls, and slipped out the main doors. Her heels tapped agains

Once Carmen wrapped up her presentation, the room filled with applause. A few impressed murmurs rippled through the back row. The lights rose slowly, brightening the conference room again. Carmen exhaled, mentally collecting herself as she took her seat.Mayor Stanley Rogers leaned forward, his voice smug but smooth.“I look forward to working directly with you, Ms. Michaels. You’ve got some very good ideas. I can’t wait for you to come over to the office and join my team. Work with us.”Carmen didn’t flinch, but she gave him a sharp side eye that said everything she didn’t say aloud: I’m not coming to work in your office, you’re coming to work in mine. She managed a cool, “Okay,” and gave a polite nod.Her father, sensing everything from the way she angled her body to the temperature in her tone, cleared his throat.“Well, Carmen is a staple here,” Mr. Michaels began. “She’s still in school full-time and will not be taking any position in Evanston at this time.
