Chapter Forty-Seven

I parked my car in front of the house that I once called home, a mansion where I tried to leave all the memories of my childhood behind but instead it followed me around, buried in my subconsciousness and waiting for the right moment to jump out and remind me that I wasn't the tough, arrogant person I thought I was.
