CASSIE’S POV

“Thank you so much for everything,” I said to Gerald and Mrs. Smith. They were standing in front of their house with a smile on their faces. “You don’t need to thank us, dear. We’re more than happy that we found you,” Mrs. Smith said with a smile. “She’s not lying,” Gerald added and I giggled.

“I’ll miss you guys,” I said as I hugged them. “Me too, sweetheart,” Mrs. Smith said with a chuckle. “Don’t forget to bring some fresh lasagna when you visit,” Gerald said and I laughed as we pulled away.

Then we turned to see a sleek black Mercedes drove into the driveway. It parked in front of us and the alpha stepped out of the car.

Sorry, I meant my dad.

Excitement bubbled up inside me as he approached us. “Good morning, Alpha,” Gerald and Mrs. Smith greeted while I grinned like a cat. He mirrored the same grinned towards me and my heart leaped.
