What They Don’t Know

“Ahhhh….yes! You’re so sweet ! Yesss! Faster, keep going..yes…..You know how to make me come alive baby.” Izzy shouts in rapturous delight, pulling the sheets on both sides, bitting her lips with her eyes closed.

After having the time of her life with Nathan, a handsome, good-looking, well dressed guy with beard as mesmerizing as the apple in the garden of eden who she had brought home from the bar after saying their names to each other, she heard a knock on the door.

Chapter 1

Ding ding.. the front door of Izzy apartment rings whilst she’s still in bed with Nathan stealing some amazing cuddles and kisses as though she had never loved anyone like that.

There was silence for a while after which she sighs and says to Nathan in a soft tone “ hm….that happens all the time, making a hand gesture showing, “it’s no big deal”. The visitors of my neighbors usually mistake my apartment for my neighbors. Happens all the time”. She continues as she rolls her eyes.

After a few minutes, the bell rings the second time and the third and the fourth as though it was an angry landlord coming to collect his overdued rent from his tenant.

Nathan looks in the direction of the door saying, “ I think that’s for you and it looks urgent”.

Izzy’s eyes looks frightened as she never expects anyone so early in the morning especially without informing her. “Who could that be?” she whispers to herself.

“You’re sure you’re not expecting someone?” Nathan interrupts her thoughts. “Hell no”. She says with absolute surety.

“ Well, you should go see who it is. It might be urgent” Nathan said. “ Or should I go take a look?”

Izzy looks at Nathan in total disbelief. “Hold it right there Mister! I just met you less than 24 hours ago and you think it’s okay to check out who’s at my door?”

“You don’t have to be feisty, Cupcake. I was just offering to help seeing that you’re so stiff like you’ve seen a ghost” Nathan responded. “ I’m gonna get dressed”. Nathan added as he slowly got up from the bed while putting on his black faded jeans.

Izzy listened by the door as the person’s footsteps fade away.

“I think it’s safe for you to leave now” Izzy says.

“Sure. Am I going to see you again?” Nathan asks whist licking his pinks lips enticingly.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself” Izzy says. “Right now, I want you out of here and be careful on your way out. Don’t want my neighbors seeing you come out of my apartment, okay? If I want to see you, I know where to find you. Now get!”

Nathan walks towards the door with his hands in his pockets as Izzy follows behind him at a distance. Nathan then turns to give Izzy a goodbye kiss, but Izzy drifted away, giving out a disgusting look which followed a smug face as she says, clapping her hands like an African lady, “what do you think you’re doing?”

“The thing normal people do when  leaving their intimate partner”.  Nathan smiles and replies.

“Lemme stop you there. We are not partners. The sooner you get that into your head, the better for you”.  Izzy shuns Nathan.

Nathan walks out of the door so carefree like he wanted to be seen by Izzy’s neighbors. Izzy pushes him out the door and slams the door behind him.

Nathan smiles as he walks down the stairs with his hands still in his pockets and his head high.

Ding ding…..the bell rings just a few minutes after Nathan’s departure.

“What the hell Nathan? I told you to leave” she shouts as she answers the door.

“Who is Nathan?”.

“Mom?” Izzy eyes were shaky as they locked that of her Mom’s.
