Tyron's pov
When I see my girl running toward me, a genuine smile is plastered on my face. She's here.
"Honey!" She cried as she wrapped her arms around me tightly, as though she hadn't seen me for a long time.
"You're here." I hugged her back and let her feel the warmth of my hug.
"You miss me?"
"You don't know how much I'm missing you, hon. I've been thinking about you lately, I thought you wouldn't show up again." I gently laughed.
"Come on, I've only been gone for a week," I joked, making her even more frustrated.
"I hate you!"
"Kidding, don't be sad anymore. Look, I have something for you." I took the small box out of my pocket and opened it in front of her. A smile gently drew on my face, when her small smile flashed on her lips again.
"Hony .." She almost cried when I took the pendant necklace out of the tiny box and put it on her.
"Do you like it?" I asked, but I didn't receive an answer from her. She was speechless and unable to remove sight of the necklace I put on her. I couldn't help but smile, knowing that she liked what I gave to her.
"Hon, this is too much.." He hugged me and looked up at me in a rush.
"I love it, I love you." I cupped her face and planted a kiss on her forehead.
"But I don't have a gift for you."
"It's okay, your presence is enough as a gift."
"Really?"
"Yeah."
"God, I don't deserve you. I love you," she cried.
"Of course, you do. Who said you don't deserve me?"
"Me, I just said it. Are you deaf?" I chuckled softly before booping her nose as she scrunched it. I miss her a lot. Like, a damn lot.
"Anyway, I was just wondering. Why did you come home so late right now? Sometimes it doesn't take you much longer than a week to visit me? Is something happening?" She asked while still hugging me. I was silent for a moment, which caused her to let go of her embrace.
"Tyron?"
"Yeah .. about that. I'm sorry, I just can't find the right time when I should act. She seems to be suspicious because I'm always leaving."
"Who?"
"My maid." I laughed as I responded, but I was immediately taken aback when she glared at me.
"What?" I innocently asked.
"You're referring to Cia, right?" I pressed my lips together when she stated the name of the woman who I despise the most. For a brief moment, I was speechless before finally opening my mouth and uttering my answer.
"Yes... I guess," I responded, slowly and almost whispering.
"Hon."
"You're still doing it?" She asked with a frown on her face, but I didn't say a word and just averted my eyes.
"Tyron," when she finally called my name I turned my gaze back to her. I sighed as our gazes met, I could see the agony in her eyes. Why does she have to be concerned with that woman? After all, she must be angry too, because that woman was the reason we had to separate then.
"Hon, you know my reason, don't you?" I knew she was aware of what I was doing to Ciara, of how I am treating and hurting her physically and mentally, and I know she hates it when I do it. She always argued with me that even though we had an issue with Ciara, she still reminded me that Ciara was still a woman who needed to be treated right and get valued. But I never listened to her, I did what I wanted to do.
"I know you're very mad at her, but that's not reason enough for you to hurt her physically, hon." Her eyebrows met as she let out a deep sigh while uttering those words; she couldn't help but hold her senses.
"Do you know that I'm starting to feel guilty for what we're doing right now?" She took her words seriously.
"Hon .."
"We're being too much, but I can't do anything because I love you and I don't want to lose you to me again. But look, I also don't want to hurt others. I feel sorry for Cia's situation. What if she finds out that the two of us were still in a relationship?" I bit my lower lip.
"She already knows about us," I sighed, averting my gaze as I finally said it. I've been looking for time to tell her the truth. When she heard what I said, she was silent for a moment. Her brows furrowed even more and scoffed because of disbelief.
"What do you mean she knows? Don't tell me, you told her?" She came up with those questions.
I Sighed, "I can't help it, that's why I told her the truth."
"You did?!"
"Yes, earlier. Before I leave the house-"
"What? Are you crazy? What on earth goes to your mind to do such things? You act without even thinking about how she will feel? Gosh, you're being impulsive, Tyron!"
"Calm down."
"No!" I sighed and looked directly into her eyes, "look, I did that because I hate seeing her around. I'm sick of seeing her hoping and expecting something from me. I'm hurting her to stop thinking that there is still hope for us to get along."
"Gosh, are you even real? It's not her fault, it's yours. Tyron, you've given her a reason to expect something from you."
"I know, but let's just not talk about it. I mean, we can talk about it... But please, not now. I don't want us to fight, now that I'm with you, can we just set it aside first? I want to spend my time with you."
"Tss."
"Hon," I called her in a tender tone, knowing she was sullen about what I had done. I pulled her close to mine and hugged her when she tried to turn her back on me.
"I'm sorry, I know what I did was sudden but I can't stand it anymore, I want her to know I can't love her back." I heard her sigh, "nothing will happen if I'll still get mad at you, right? She already knows, what else can I do?" She seemed to be sulking.
"Hony, don't sulk," since she was attempting to flee, I tried to tighten my embrace around her.
"Okay, fine! Just release me because I can't breathe!" She sighed and glared at me.
"Are we good now?" I asked her with a smile on my face, but she was still glaring at me.
Ciara's pov
I spent most of the afternoon cleaning the house despite my physical body being in pain because Tyron might get upset again when he finds the house untidy.
How can I do what he orders if he always comes home drunk? Then, I was repeatedly blamed, hurt, and locked in an abandoned room. Nothing new, the course of my life is repetitive. It will hurt, I will cry, but I will forgive him over and over again, because I really can't be angry at him, no matter how badly he treats me.
I also repeatedly became a martyr and I just got used to letting him do whatever he wanted. As long as I could be with him, I was fine, well not totally.
After I cleaned the whole house I sat down on the sofa to rest. Waiting for Tyron to return as time goes on, but every time I think of him with his so-called wife, I can't help but get hurt. I don't know who he's referring to, but it's so painful, it hurts me a lot. I stayed by his side because I knew he still cared about me, but now that I know he has a wife beside me, my heart is breaking and I don't know where else to place myself. My heart aches.
"Is she pretty? Does his wife love hIm?" I couldn't help but burst into tears as I thought of what Tyron was referring to as his wife. If he is married to someone, then, what am I? Who am I in his life? I wiped the tears from my eyes as I watched my wounds and bruises that instead of healing, were just getting worse and more numerous.
How can he do this to me? I couldn't understand him, I couldn't imagine what I had done wrong, for him to treat me like this.
I stopped staring at my bruises and was immediately grabbed by my chest when I felt my heart suddenly stop for a moment. My lips parted as I felt the pain even more.
"Ah!" I couldn't stop myself from screaming when the pain started pounding, it seemed like something was stopping my heartbeat, making it harder for me to breathe.
I can't take this, why do I have to feel and suffer from this.
"Ah.. i-it hurts.." My tears began to roll down my cheeks as I struggled to inhale some air to breathe.
Tyron... Where are you...
I glanced slowly at the door, hoping he would come, but my shoulders immediately fell when I remembered that he was not coming home. I started to calm myself and inhale a few times and let out heavy sighs to ease my feeling. I breathed a sigh of relief as I felt the pain in my chest gradually subside.
"I can't even manage to handle my bruises and pain in my body, why does my heart need to suffer from the pain too? You're the only one who's making me strong, why do you need to get hurt.." I said weakly to my heart.
I thought of leaving for a while to get a check-up from the nearby hospital. I might not live much longer in the world if I just ignore this pain.
"Are you all right, Miss?" I turned to the taxi driver when he asked me.
"I'm fine, sir," I replied smiling but he just sighed.
"You're not in a good condition, you shouldn't just endure it if it's only giving you pain." A bitter smile curved on the driver's lips when he noticed a few bruises on my face and body.
"It's okay, this is fine. Love can bear." I replied with a smile but he just smiled and didn't answer again. In the middle of the trip, the Manong driver stopped driving.
"It looks like there's still traffic," Manong said worriedly when we stopped at edsa. I looked at the stoplight and it turned red. I was about to turn my gaze back to the driver, but before that happened, something caught my eye not far away from where I was. I don't know if I'm just hallucinating, but, "Tyron?" I was stunned for a moment and stared at it carefully.
It's him!
I smiled and was about to call him, but I noticed that there was a woman in the car with him. They were holding each other's hands which made my heart clench. I even saw how a smile flashed on Tyron's lips when the woman kissed him on the cheek.
"T-Tyron ..." I stuttered, but I suddenly screamed because of pain when I felt my chest tighten again. I tried to open the car window to call him out even though I was having a hard time breathing.
"Tyron!" I shouted in a very weak voice but enough for him to hear. I even saw him look in my direction, but I knew he hadn't seen me yet because I had completely fallen.
"Miss!"
"Hony, don't you want to go home yet?" I turned to Hannah when she asked me while we were eating at a Japanese restaurant. "Mmm, why? Do you want to go home now?" I asked, but he shook her head. "No. I mean, you? Don't you want to go home yet?" I frowned at her question. "Where? To you? Will you let me in?" I asked, but it seemed like I was asking the wrong question because Hannah also thought wrong of what I said. "W-wait, no!" I said laughing, as I shielded myself from her hit. "Such a pervert!" I chuckled."I mean, at your house, Hon. Will you let me into your house? N-not yours." I scratched my head to correct what I said as my voice went lower, almost whispering. "Whatever!" "Pft, but no, I'm not going home," I answered, the reason for her to look and frown at me. "What? And why? Did you forget that Cia is all alone in your house?" She sneered. "I just don't want to," I replied. "No, go home. Cia is alone." "But, Hon.. just this night." I insisted. "No. And when I say
Wedding? Who the hell will get married? "I think it's better if the kids decide for themselves. So that they can be ready." Mr. Hilvano suggested while smiling as he took a glance at me. My lips loosened.'Child? Who? Was he referring to me?"Son, you should talk to your fiance." Dad turned to me and that made me frown at him. "What? Fiancee?" I clarified, I think I just misheard. We couldn't get married. I'm about to get married to someone else. "Yes, fiancee. Ms. Hilvano who will be your wife." W-what ?! We're the ones who will get married?! I immediately got up from my seat because of shock, I can even feel my arm turning into a fist because of disbelief "Dad, no! Why are we getting married? How come you agree with this? You even know that I have a girlfriend and I was about to propose to her today, Dad! I love someone else and I don't want to marry her-" "Break up with her, then." I was frozen in where I was standing when dad blurted it out without hesitating. My mouth part
Ciara's povI could feel the heavy pain in my body even when my eyes were shut. I felt myself for a moment before I finally opened my eyes. But surprisingly, the pure white on the ceiling was the first thing I saw as I opened my eyes. I can even smell and feel the coldness of the air that was brushing on my skin, probably coming from the aircon. I swallow when I feel the dryness of my throat. All I could hear was my heavy breathing and the noise that was made by the machine beside me. My eyes went around to check the surroundings and realized I was in the hospital. Slowly, my eyes landed on the man who was currently sleeping on the side of my bed. 'Wait, isn't this the Manong Driver?' I immediately sat up from lying down to wake Manong Driver. Unfortunately for him, he definitely couldn't earn any money from driving because of me. I patted his shoulder to wake him up. "Manong, wake up." I was a little surprised when it suddenly stood up and shouted. "Where, where? Where's the fi
The sun was going down so I had to take Hannah home."Hon, you should go home too. Cia's definitely waiting for you to come home," she said. I was about to open my mouth to disobey her when she spoke again."Don't start to argue again, your reasons won't work for me. You've just told me that she already knows about us, that's why we can't be together for so long, Tyron. You should go home, she's probably waiting." Hannah smiled at me and finally, we reached her house. I turned off the engine first and turned her to face her."Don't you really want me to stay here first, even just tonight?" I gave her a soft gaze, hoping that she'll let me stay here tonight because I don't want to go home yet. I don't want to see that woman, I'm too sick of always seeing her as if she's so innocent even though she knows to herself what she did to me and Hannah.I hate her.I heard Hannah sigh."Of course, I want to. I really wanted you to stay here. If only you could just not leave and stay here beside
Someone's pov A playful smirk drew on my lips as I saw one of my disciple men stepping in from the door of my territory."What's up? Are you doing well keeping Ciara's life out of Tyron's hand? Your face says it all, what happened? "I asked him when he was finally able to get closer to where I was. I looked at his face for a moment when the excitement was so visible in his eyes. She's doing fine, right? Ciara's fine."They are fine. I guess? It seems like they're killing each other. "He replied with a smirk on his face, unconsciously, I immediately hit him which surprised him."What did you say?!" I exclaimed. Ears couldn't believe what I heard from him, a shock was traced all over my face because that was not the news I expected him to bring to me."Ah! What's that for?! What's your problem and you're suddenly hitting me?!" He complained as his eyebrow furrowed. My lips loosen up due to shock but I just glared at him."Stupid! Did you even listen to what I have said to you? Didn't I
Ciara's povI didn't feel like going up to my room after I heard their conversation. If only my heart could allow me to leave him, I'll do it right away. I won't hesitate to leave this house and never turn my back again on him. I want to unlove him, but there's no such thing. It's so hard that I just want to die to stop myself from struggling. But it was my heart that kept stopping me from leaving him. My heart wanted me to stay here and bear all the pain I was experiencing. It's toxic, I know. But what could you do if you loved someone so much that you wanted to take everything at risk just to be with him?Am I the only one who's like this? Or does someone understand how I feel? It's hard and I felt so sorry for the person who has the same situation as me.I let my body drop on the bed and did not complain about the pain when I finally felt them as I let my body rest. I didn't mind those wounds and bruises on my body that were aching. Is there anything more painful than the facts I h
Ciara's povWhat did I do to make myself feel this way? Why does he have to make me feel as though I'm worthless as garbage in his eyes? Why does he have to make me feel as if he truly despises me when he could simply tell me that he doesn't want me here and I should just leave? Isn't it funny how he always makes me feel as if he wants me to vanish, but he won't let me leave the house without him knowing?I just stared into the emptiness, tears streaming down my cheek. The burden of my feelings was reflected in each drop of my warm tears."Ciara!" Fear was so clear and visible to my eyes as I turned my gaze at the door when I heard Tyron call out my name. His loud and deep voice and heavy footsteps coming towards my room made me feel his rage, I could even imagine his death glares pinning on me and I knew that this time I could never escape from the pain again. Another day of suffering, another new trauma could build upon me.As he slammed the door open, trembling began to rumble in m
Ciara's povThe first thing I became aware of was a steady beeping sound. The second thing was an intense and overwhelming feeling that was consuming my body. There was a constant throbbing in my head that matched the rhythm of my heartbeat and the mechanical beeping echoing around me. Sharp and heavy pain in my chest made it hard to breathe. My eyes were closed and I didn't want to open them because of the fear that I might be here again. In the place, I hate the most.As I slowly opened my eyes, I blinked a few times to clear the blurry vision in my eyes. I scanned the room to orient myself and forced a smile when I realized I was. The beeping sound was coming from a large, gray machine beside me. It took a moment for me to realize that I was connected to the machine through the various tubes sticking out of my arm. My arms and legs were cold despite being covered by a thick and soft blanket. There was the unmistakable smell of sterile equipment that was found only in a hospital. I
