Aera placed a hand on his shoulder as she watched his face crumple in disappointment before it faded off.

“Alright.” Min-a turned around to leave only to be held back by her small palm wrapping around his arm.

“Uh, Min-a. Did you guys have a huge fight or something?” She inquired cautiously.

Since that's all Kwan Seung-ho would tell her, he just wouldn't tell her why, and why he didn't want to fix it.

Now that she was intertwined in their lives. Aera somehow felt the responsibility resting on her shoulders to make sure they both were alright.

“Did he say we had a fight?” Min-a answered with a question after a moment of silence.

“Yes.” Aera nodded.

“Right, we did have a slight misunderstanding.” Min-a agreed, downplaying it.

“I don't think a slight misunderstanding would leave him smoking everyday and isolating himself. He is my best friend and I do not joke with him or his mental health.” Aera stated, the friendly smile completely vanished from her face. And jus

“Hey, Min-a..” Duncan muttered after reading out loud. “It gets better.” Ji-ho grinned, scrolling to the next picture. It was a picture of them at the restaurant when they brought their heads closer so no one eavesdropped on their conversation. Only from this angle, you could swear it looked like a really intimate moment. The phrase, “Cute Date” was placed right over the picture. “If I didn't know us, I would also think we were on a date. The angles are just too damn perfect.” Duncan admired his jaw lines from the angle at which the sun struck. Ji-ho turned to Min-a as he left with a plate full, turning around the table to find a place to sit. “You are supposed to be panicking…why are you not panicking?” Ji-ho followed him. “Because it is not a major blog, Duncan is a family friend and eventually, they will find out. Let my fans eat up the little cooked-up fantasy, when I have the energy, I will tell my agency to sort it out with our own photos to discredit whatever th

“I don't know...December or something. You give the last born, spoiled child energy.” Ji-ho shrugged. “The nerves you have…” Min-a shook his head in disbelief. “Min-a, she's not exactly wrong. You are the last born and you're spoiled.” Duncan agreed with Ji-ho. “Big brother, you are on no moral ground to call me spoiled.” Min-a snapped at him. “Woah. Go, queen.” Ji-ho hailed him, pouting. “Shut up,” Min-a chastised.“Whatever. I'm going to use your bathroom, check the rice. It burns, I kill you.” Ji-ho threatened before exiting the kitchen. Duncan patiently waited for her to be out of hearing range before turning to Min-a. “I don't want to hear it, Deonkeon. I'm not talking to Mr. Kwan. I don't have anything to say to him, as you can see, he also didn't bother to show up looking for me. So maybe you are the only one who is actually overthinking it because I'm not.” Min-a stated, standing up from the stool. “Min-a..you understand that you fucked up right? Like you are the one w

Min-a regretted placing all of his worth on a chase. He thought Seung-ho would eventually come for him, find him but he was wrong. Five days, 6 hours, 45 minutes, and…he wasn't that desperate, he didn't count to the seconds. He still had some shrivel of pride in him as he sat on the indoor pool chair, his legs swirling shallow in the blue-lighted pool. He avoided art lessons, refusing to go because he didn't see the use anymore. The only reason he was hooked up with him in the first place was that Eun Hye thought it would be a great idea for him to try and get Seung-ho on their side. Who was he kidding? Min-a went first thing on Wednesday, he also came early to the studio but Seung-ho wasn't present. He then shoved down his pride, low enough to let him drive all the way to his house, only to get the most embarrassing and heart-wrenching statement thrown to his face. “You are good enough now. Besides, I have signed the contract you were chasing for. You are free now. Go.”

Duncan yearned to refute everything Min-a had just said, but he found himself unable to deny his true feelings.“I approve, don't think I don't remember how you used to look at her like she was some angel when she was just a spoiled brat. Just because I was the youngest didn't mean I was stupid.” Min-a chuckled, balancing in the passenger seat as the feeling of fulfillment washed over him. “Yeah, right.” Duncan finally gave in. “Top up your game. She needs to fantasize about another man, not my man.” Min-a stated as a matter of fact. “Your man?” Duncan mocked him in a high-pitched voice. Min-a only rolled his eyes, pouting in displeasure. “So, what happened between you and your man then?” Duncan brought it up again. “I fucked up, big brother. I fucked up big time.” ~~~~~~~Min-a and Duncan settled for Golden Wit cafe, a five-star with several visits from celebrities in Seoul. So naturally, there were bound to be cameramen and entertainment journalists a few feet away from the s

Just before he rounded up the corner, Duncan appeared. Tall and shining in his full gray tuxedo, running into Min-a. “Min-a..” Duncan called out, unsure if he was the one because he was wearing a stylish baggy blazer and a cute tie. He was about to make a teasing remark when Min-a raised his face, revealing his teary eyes and broken expression. Duncan’s gaze swept behind him to see Seung-ho and Eun Hye staring in their direction. Even from this distance, he could see the faint blush on Eun Hye's cheeks. He felt his heart ripping apart. Duncan threw an icy glare and pointed directly at Seung-ho. He immediately wrapped his hands around Min-a to give him a comforting hug, reading the whole situation as Seung-ho choosing Eun Hye over Min-a, so his guts were right all along. Seung-ho scowled, his jaw clenching hard as he watched Duncan hug Min-a briefly and then let him go. “Deon..” Eun Hye scrunched her face as she moved a step forward, wondering what he was doing here. “Deonkeon!
