Chapter 64: Wedding bells
"I am so sorry, that just came out. I don't know what I was thinking." Cole sighed, pulling away from her, sitting up and scratching the back of his head. He ran his fingers through his hair in this attempt and messed them up. He wasn't lying. It was not planned and there was no taking it back at the moment and so he could only hope that she understood his point of view.
"It's fine." Karen sat up as well, chuckled and brushed his hair back into one piece. "I think I have a solution to this problem." She teased him. That did a lot with calming him down. He read the ease in her tone and realized she hadn't taken his confession wrongly. Was it even a confession? He wondered.
"W..what are you talking about?" He squinted his eyes at her. He was curious to know, especially now that she wasn't biting his head off.
"I'm just trying my best to be thoughtful you know." She put on a smirk and knelt on the bed, drawing closer to him.
