“Whatever.”

When Elena's cold and distant response came through our mind-link, my world was plunged back into endless darkness.

At the pack summit, the sight of Elena with her arm linked with that strange Alpha's had driven me mad.

I refused all dinners and locked myself in my room.

Like a desperate, caged beast, I numbed myself with alcohol again.

I remember drinking a lot… so much that my soul felt like it was leaving my body, floating in an abyss of pain.

I think I saw Elena in a drunken dream.

She had come back.

She had forgiven me.

She wrapped me in her gentle scent, just like before, and kissed me with her soft lips…
