Even though the wedding photos looked real, Shane refused to believe Bethany could break up with him one day and marry someone else the next.

For six years, he had been the center of her life. He knew about her social circle, and he was sure she had not met any other men during that time.

The idea that she could suddenly get married made no sense to him.

Shane guessed the man in the wedding photos was someone Bethany had found just to make him angry.

She probably wanted to scare him into giving in and winning her back.

When he thought that, he started to feel a little better. Bethany must be getting impatient waiting for him. If he went to her, spoke nicely, and admitted he was wrong, she would forgive him.

Mia told him Bethany had gone back to her hometown. Shane tried to recall the address but drew a blank.

In six years, he had only visited once, and he left after two days because he had to return to comfort Yelena. He could not remember her address at all.
