The Academy's corridor buzzed with whispers as I strode through, Austin trailing behind me.

“Alpha, your father is calling. He must have been informed about the King’s bride,” Austin said, handing me the phone.

“Prepare my clothes,” I ordered, not even glancing at the phone as I pushed open the door to the exclusive room and stepped inside.

After washing off the smell of blood and sweat, I emerged from the shower, slipping into the black suit as Austin updated me on the situation. “Alpha Darius Nightbane is finally here. The Elders pulled him into an urgent meeting. It’s going to be a long one. Meanwhile, Seraphina Nightbane will be locked in a private room under heavy guard.”

“Remove those guards,” I said, sinking into the chair behind the desk.

“But Alpha, what if she escapes…”

“She won’t,” I replied, lighting a cigarette.
