When Xavier spotted them, he smiled. “Looks like you made it.” Kael returned the smile and extended his hand. “Safe travels.” Xavier clasped it firmly. “You too.” He glanced at Nova. “Take care of yourself.” Nova smiled. “I will.” Xavier nodded. “And don’t let him boss you around too much.” Nova laughed. “No promises.” Kael rolled his eyes. “Traitor.” Xavier chuckled before turning serious. “I’ll start reaching out to the neighboring packs as soon as I get home. If I hear anything about unusual Hollowfang activity or missing packs, you’ll be the first to know.” Kael nodded. “I’ll do the same from here.” The two Alphas exchanged one last nod.
