Chapter 17: Out of Town

My alarm just went off and it’s 6 am. I am gonna be honest with all of you, I had a good night’s sleep. Please, don’t be malicious. 

It’s not about Clint, I just felt too relieved last night because of what Clint said, and I am flaming in a brand of pure joy.

I stood up feeling enthusiastic and went to the bathroom. After cleansing my face, I walked into the kitchen with a bounce in my steps. I chuckled when he froze from stretching when he saw me.

 “You're early again, today?’ he asked and I just smiled and nodded.

“Why do you keep saying that as if you always see me late?” I said and raised my brow while his face showed wrinkles in the corner of his eyes. 

“Maybe because these past few weeks it’s either you’re not going to work or you’re late,” he answered and my brows furrowed.

“How’s your sleep?&rdq
