12: The Game Starts NOW!

With a single blow from his whistle, Mr. Rayven starts the game. The students, who were just standing in front of the door, walked inside. June and Amelia walked side by side, still observing the others.

While Kanaye, who seemed a bit worried, walked behind Aki. He looked like a scared cat who was trying to hide.

"Kanaye?"

With just one call, he immediately went in front of Aki, as if he hadn't been hiding a while ago. "Yeah?" he asked, then he saw her looking at the right side. He slightly looked in that direction and saw the surroundings. Inside the room, there are different rooms.

Other students stand before the door as if waiting for it to open.

"Hmm, I think we should pick our own door too." Aki concluded, and without his consent, she walked straight to the door in front of her. "Ah-w-wait!" he said and slightly ran after her.

Meanwhile, June and Amelia walked toward the other door. Ever since they entered the room, no one bothered to talk between them. They stand before it, waiting for the others to finally choose their own door. It seems like there are 12 doors inside. And every partnered student should choose their own door.

When all of the students finally stood before their chosen door, a green light suddenly lit up the whole room. The white light suddenly disappeared, and it was as if they were now in an apocalyptic area because of the vibe it brought.

Amelia suddenly felt nervous, so she stepped closer to June. And she looked at him. She wasn’t surprised that the guy had no reaction at all. He’s just blankly staring at the green light. She collected herself and took a deep breath.

But when Amelia was about to exhale, the floor that they were standing on suddenly disappeared, and they fell onto the deepest ground. She could hear the screams and frightened shouts of the other students. It seems like they are not the only ones who fell.

"June!!" She shouted as the surroundings went black while they were falling to the deepest ground. She couldn’t see anything and couldn’t even feel if her partner, June, was still there. Her collected self from earlier turned into heartbreaking beats of nervousness again. She could feel the desperation while swaying her hands in the air, trying to look for June’s hands.

"June!! Where are you?! " She shouted while her hands were still in the air, until someone held it for her. After that, she also felt his hands on her waist, protecting her after they finally fell on the hard and cold ground floor.

"Are you okay?" June asked her as they landed on the floor less scathed.

"June!" Amelia exclaimed and immediately took her hands off of his touch as she realized that he was still holding her hands. But June didn’t even notice it as he looked at the surroundings.

It looks like an underground. The room that they entered earlier is just the entrance to this underground. Every door was connected to the different parts of this underground.

"Wow, I didn't expect there to be so much space in here," Amelia exclaimed, amused by what she was seeing.

"The university itself is on an isolated island, what do you expect," June answered her with his blank and cold tone, but she just ignored it.

"I bet we’ll start here." Amelia said, minutes after she noticed that the pamphlet started to shine.

"Easy?" June reads the word written on it.

Amelia looked at June. "I think we should choose who will play for the round then," Amelia said. They stared at each other for a while, until June looked away.

"I think you should go," he said, then looked down, as if he was defeated. Honestly, he already told Amelia earlier that he will play the easy part because he doesn’t want to do anything in a difficult round. But it seems like he has no choice. Maybe he’ll get a chance to play the average later.

Amelia looked at the pamphlet and saw two buttons. Their names were written on it, and it seems like it’s asking who will be the player in this round. The easy round

Amelia Morie.

After she clicked her name, a strong force pulled her away from June. It was too late for them to react until they saw themselves standing in front of each other with a thick glass in between.

It looks like an isolated room for Amelia, the player. She looked at the worried face of June and nodded a bit. June , who seemed worried a while ago, slightly lightened up and just looked at Amelia.

After a second, the pamphlet starts to glow again.

"What is this?" Amelia asked herself as she noticed other words forming on the pamphlet.

"Find the BloodyCookie. I have branches, yet I have no leaves, no trunk, and no fruit. Yet everybody uses me. "

Amelia's eyebrow furrowed as she read the riddle. She doesn't know and isn’t even good at it. She suddenly regrets taking this level.

She looked around the room and tried to find a clue. But she got none. She looked at June and he just raised his eyebrow as if saying, "You can’t do it without me, don’t you?" using his arrogant and highly praised tone. She immediately felt embarrassed and annoyed just by looking at him, so she turned her sight in front of her.

"Think Amelia. Think! Oh shit! " She tried to calm herself down. There’s no doubt that her IQ level is high, but logic and riddles are her weaknesses. If she had to choose between riddles and literature, she would choose the latter.

But she has no choice. She needs to answer this or else both of them will fail the exam. She looked at the pamphlet again and read the riddle over and over again.

"I have branches... yet I have no leaves. Find the bloody cookie..." she said to herself.

"What the hell is she doing?" June asked himself as he saw Amelia struggling to answer a mere riddle. He likes to answer riddles, so he thinks the same thing as Amelia. He also regretted why he gave this simple task to Amelia. He clicked his teeth because of regret.

For a minute, it seemed like Amelia had finally solved the riddle. She looked at the pamphlet again and saw the clue. It has four words. She slowly wrote the answer on it, then it shone a bit after that.

"Huh? Is it wrong?" she asked herself. No, it can't be. I know this is right. There must be something else. " She looked around and then saw something that made her eyes glitter.

"The answer is a bank. It says "find the bloody cookie" If the answer is bank, which could also mean storage for money, then I think this is the right place to hide the cookie," she said to herself and went in front of the chest and opened it.

A bank might be equal to a treasure chest from the old days. She slowly opened it and saw a piece of cookie. Her smile immediately shone on her face as she looked back at June.

June, on the other hand, just smiled a bit as he saw the sudden change in surroundings in Amelia’s direction. The big screen in front suddenly turned into number 2.

"I guess we survived the first one, don’t we?" he said to himself. He looked at his watch. "Though it took us about 15 minutes. If it was me, it would be done in just 1 or 2 minutes," he said to himself, then looked at Amelia again while she was looking at the pamphlet.
