CHAPTER 27

The last week of school was a blur: zipping from tests, marathon practice sessions, their season's final match, and crowding every spare moment with Malachi. Jude hardly slept between study all-nighters and Malachi interrupting her all the time. She slept at his apartment the entire week. Gym routines and runs were neglected since she made more time for him. Instead of being less worried about leaving, the longer the days elapsed, the worse it was. She had to change tickets to Wednesday instead of Monday so that she could stay a couple of additional days with him. He had also reserved a flight and was going to be spending the holidays with his mom. He didn't appear even slightly excited about it.
