Beg For Forgiveness

The weekend was over. I was on my bed. I thought to myself, I hope everything goes well today. I got up to be ready for school and then after breakfast I went school. Then, from the moment I entered school, I saw other students looking at me strangely. Some had fear in eyes, some had disgust. They looked at me with those eyes. I wondered why they would. Then, passing through their gazes I reached my classroom. Shockingly in the class also the gazes were same. I sat on my place. I felt like the class was abnormally silent today. Then, Alice came and just before the lecture started, Tanie and Tyler came. Tyler looked at me with disgust in his eyes. The only thing I did not want to happen finally happened.

 Tanie looked at me and gave me a smile. The smile was like as if she won something. The first lecture finished. Then, Tyler started saying, “How can we read with bullies in same class? We cannot even concentrate now.” I suddenly understood he was talking about me. I thought maybe Tanie also brainwashed him very much. Alice was going to speak, I grabbed her hand. Then, suddenly the quiet class burst into murmurs. It went silent when our teacher responsible for our discipline came. Then she called me, Alice, Tyler and Tanie to the office. I then understood everything. Tyler had spread the rumor to many people in school that I was a bully. He was handsome, so many junior and senior girls were hanging with him although he never gave a glance to them. So, it was easy for the rumor to be spread.

 We reached the office. Then, the teacher asked us what the rumor was about. She was very strict every time. She specially liked Tyler, so she would obviously be on her side I thought. Then, Tyler said what he saw. He even said Alice was also there. Then, the teacher looked at us and asked. I was grabbing Alice's hand so that she would not speak. When the teacher saw us silent, then she said, “If you are like this then I will have to call your parents to discuss about this.” Then, I spoke up, “Ms. Bally, please do not call my parents. Alice was not there when the things happened. She just came after everything ended. She was just searching for me. Please do not call my parents. I will tell whatever you tell to do. Please let Alice go.” Then, Ms. Bally said, “Okay then Alice, you can go.”

 Alice said, “Ms. Bally, I do not think so Sarah did anything...” I stopped her and said, “Alice, please go.” Then she looked at me with sad eyes and left the office. Tanie was looking exactly like a victim. She acted really well. Then, Ms. Bally said, “If you do not want your parents to be called then what you want to take for punishment?” I said, “I will apologize to her.” Tyler laughed slightly and said, “Do you think that's enough? If I hadn't been there then you could have done worse.” Tanie did not say anything. Maybe because she was afraid that I would speak up everything she did not say a word.

Then, Ms. Bally said, “Okay then, you, (she pointed at me) Kneel down and beg for forgiveness at least for a week.” She added, “For whole day. That is the least punishment a bully should get.” When I heard everything, I felt really sad and angry. I was the victim here. At one thought, I felt like telling the truth. But again, I would be the one who will be embarrassed. No one will believe me. I did not have anything as proof also, except the video which I would not like to show to anyone else even if I die. I did not have the confidence to show that video of mine. I had deleted my messages because I did not want it to be seen by anyone else. Then Tyler said, “Did you not hear Ms. Bally?”

Tanie finally spoke, “No, it’s okay, I do not want her to have a grudge against me.” When I heard her I felt like slapping her but... but I knelt. When I knelt I knew there was a wound on my knee, but before I thought it was a small wound. When I knelt it was really hurting. But still, I said, “I am sorry. Please forgive me.” When I was speaking tears were falling down from my eyes. I wiped and said again, “Please let me read for the day, I will miss many things if I miss the class.” Then, Ms. Bally said," That is your part of punishment. But do not worry your attendance will not be cut off.” Then, I did not speak anything. Just tears kept on falling. I knelt down. Tyler and Tanie went back to class.

It was lunch time, Alice came to the office. She could not say anything. She brought me few things to eat by hiding. I said her that she should go. She scolded me for not saying the truth. Then I ate what she gave me and told her to go. She went. I stayed there in the same position until the classes finished. My whole body was in pain. Then, Ms. Bally came and said, “Tomorrow you can directly come to the office. You can go after I leave.” Then she packed and went when I was thinking if I should tell her the truth, but again I did not have any proof. Then when I tried getting up, I fell down after I got up. Then, again I got up and went out of office. Alice was waiting for me. She was angry, because I did not let her say anything and even I did not say anything. So, she did not speak the whole way.

I went home. I changed and saw my wound on my knee was a little worse than it was before. The wound was also given to me by Tyler when he pushed me but the wound gave me unknowingly in my heart was more painful. I kept ointment and ate and slept. I was so much in pain that I slept until morning. I woke up a little fast. I messaged Alice that I will not be going school today. Then I ate breakfast and hurried to school. I did not want anyone to see me. I reached early and went to office.

 Ms. Bally had not come, so I just sat on the chair and waited. After few minutes, Ms. Bally came together with Tyler and Tanie. Then, I just did not look at them. I knelt and said the same thing. I said again, “Please do not say that I have come today.” Both of them did not say anything and went. Then, Ms. Bally also went. I knelt down. As no one was there, my tears fell again. I thought to myself, why it was me who went through these punishments. I was the victim. Tanie should get these punishments. She should beg for forgiveness.

In the classroom:

 After the first lecture, Tyler said to Alice, “Your friend even do not come after promising to get the punishment.” Alice ignored them. Kyle was absent from yesterday because he was ill.

In the office:

I was still crying and thought that if only I had not liked Tyler. I still could not change my feelings for him even if he was on Tanie's side and one of the reason why I had to be punished is also him. The lunch time had already passed, I was hungry. I could not get up. Then, the same thing continued the next day. The difference was Tyler did not come. Tanie came alone. On the fourth day, I went to office. I was there for whole day. I was hungry. Then, suddenly Kyle and Alice came to the office. Ms. Bally was there. Ms. Bally also liked Kyle. Then, when Alice and Kyle saw me, both of them were shocked. I was also shocked. Then, I tried to stand up, I felt my lower legs wet. I was about to fall, Kyle supported me and I sat on the chair. I felt a lot weak. I then again tried to stand up... but I just heard Alice screaming my name, “Saraaah”
