Lisa Knox

What insolence!

When my eyes met his, it took everything in me to not go crazy right there and then. The man who ruined my life—contributed to ruining my life, was standing there. He had the audacity to still look fucking attractive, so much my body reacted to his touch and I had to hold myself with a leash before jumping on his dick again.

He had the audacity to also tell me he was going to his daughter's school. So he married the woman after all and now has a child. And he wanted me to still be in touch.

"I can't believe we meet again." He said as we drove towards the hospital.

I had the opportunity to stare at him. The nicely shaved beards gave him that manly and rugged look that added to his allure.

"What happened in the past happened in the past. Let it go, Andrew."

"You know my name?" He asked, a brow raised. "I don't even know yours."

Now, that stung. I wouldn't know his name either if his stupid ass head hadn't spilled his seed inside me and impregnated me.

"Let's keep it that way then."

"That will be impossible now, won't it? We can't just go our separate ways."

Anger flared in my chest. "Why is that? We have no business together."

He scoffed, a smirk dancing on his lips. "Oh, that's what you think." He stopped the car and turned to face me, getting me stuck in between the warmth of his face and the car door. He lifted my chin so that his blue gaze could pierce my soul. "I do have some business I want to do with you."

"Like what?" I raised my chin defiantly which I regretted immediately because our lips touched. My core tightened. "Sucking your little dick in secret when your wife doesn't satisfy you?"

He frowned and tilted his head in a dangerous angle, growling in response. "Now, you and I both know that's a lie." His finger began to trail the side of my neck down to my chest till it stopped exactly where my heart was located. "You and I know my dick ain't little. How could you forget how loud you screamed when I slammed my cock inside your pussy?"

"Stop." I wanted to open the door but he grabbed my shoulders and pinned me against the seat, eyes drinking my body.

"You didn't say that when you wrapped your legs around me, sucking my balls dry until we both could not move. Why act chaste now?"

Embarrassment plus arousal traveled down my chest, causing my hard nipples to strain against my shirt. How can a man I haven't seen in five years and have only slept with once have such hold on me?

He reached behind him and dropped a card on my thighs. "Call me when you're ready."

With a sneer, I crumpled the card and threw it at him before getting off the car. He didn't stop me. But before I turned the corner, I checked over my shoulder and saw him smiling like the joker.

What a creep.

It had been exactly three months and some weeks since I found my son in the pool and let out that blood curdling scream. It had been the darkest moment of my life. It still is. Especially when I went inside to find Sean and confront him on neglecting my son only to find him sitting on our matrimonial bed, legs spread, pants down while my sister, my own sister, knelt between his legs and bobbed her head up and down.

She was sucking his dick while my son was drowning in the pool. I had cried, cursed and done all manner of things. But Angelina and Sean had sent me out of the house with my dead son, leaving me with nearly nothing except some savings I had in my bank account. I had no problem signing the divorce papers and telling him I was done.

Now, I lived in a motel in the ghetto of New York city, striving to get a job and build my life from the scratch. Sean had taken everything from me. My father's company, my trust fund, my investments and landed properties. He took over everything.

I had been going for my interview when I bumped into his car and sustained these few injuries. I decided to still go for the interview, not wanting to miss this opportunity.

I was still sitting at the lobby when I looked up at the TV and saw a vacancy. Someone was looking for a nanny for a huge amount of money. Who the hell pays twenty four thousand dollars a month for a nanny? This could be a scam. Or not.

So I punched in the number and decided to call later at night.

A female voice responded, asking me to show up at an address the next morning.

I dressed up in my black flared pants and white shirt, wearing my hair down and putting on kitten heels. I hailed a cab and began my journey to the seemingly fake interview.

The house was gigantic and it took me a moment to snap out of admiring it to getting towards the door. There should be a swarm of lineups at the entrance if this was real. Except the person could be a kidnapper and I'd just walked into a trap.

Stupid me.

I pressed the button on the side of the door twice and finally someone opened the door. A man dressed in black suit and a black sunshade. Sunshade in the house.

That was weird. I made my way inside, getting ready to bolt if need be. I got into the living room and my jaw dropped wide open. My father was rich, yes. But not this level of rich. This house looked more like a castle or a museum than a home. It was large, beige and minimal. The staircase curved all the way up to the top. About three to four floors I was convinced.

The man in black led me up the stairs to the first floor where I was faced with a large oakwood door.

My heart was beating fast and my palms were sweaty as I turned the knob and stepped in. I was in awe with what I saw. Large, tall book shelves that reached the ceiling to the floor. At the centre, next to the window was a large executive table and a single chair on one side, two chairs on the side facing the door. Clutters of papers and cups were on the table and I winced at the chaos.

The floor however had a fuzzy grey wool rug that felt like a massage on skin.

A voice jolted me back to reality.

"I knew you would come." That same familiar voice. I turned to see Andrew was standing behind me. I took a step backwards.

"What are you doing here?"

"You mean, what am I doing in my home interviewing the nanny for my daughter?" He raised a brow, sat on the executive chair and spread his arms. "I mean, come on."

I blinked, wishing the floor would open and swallow me whole but it didn't. "So, you want me to be your daughter's nanny."

Not even when he opened his mouth and the words fell out.

"Actually, I want you to be my wife."

There was a beat of silence between us both. And then I laughed wondering what sort of joke he was cracking. "Seriously."

"Do I look like I'm joking?"

To be honest, he didn't and that scared me more than I would love to admit. "What? That's ridiculous."

"Ten million dollars if you agree to marry me for two years and take care of my daughter. What do you say, pretty?" His voice lowered and his lips curled in a sinister smile.

I didn't know what to say. Ten million was a whole lot. Seriously, how rich was this guy? Didn't he have a wife before? What happened to her? Why would I want to be involved in a fake marriage for money?

These questions churned my mind and only one answer came up later that night while I was scrolling the Internet. Sean had put up the company for sale on the Internet for fifteen million.

My heart fluttered at the answer I had been looking for.

Andrew Mccarthy When life gives you lemons, they said to make a lemonade out of it. How about slamming it back at them and giving them the middle finger? Why did it never work that way?I made that resolution many times ago when my father stated that I wasn't fit to be his son anymore for an accident. The orange sun was slowly dipping in its horizon while I sat in my office, cigarette in between my fingers, a bottle of whiskey in the other hand. I didn't want to go home to yet another complain from the nanny. She had been patient enough among all the others I had hired for Cara. Possibly because she was older. A bit on the fifties and strict. She was also Filipino so her skill in making sure Cara followed the rules was exceptional. I didn't want to lose her.But recently, the complaints were getting more frequent. She was starting to sound like the previous nannies. "She drew on the wall last night even though I strongly warned her against doing that.""She won't eat her vegetable

  • Widowed By Betrayal   Chapter 2

Lisa KnoxI had been searching for him, hoping to find him before my father found out I was pregnant. I tried to terminate the pregnancy but the doctor had said it would affect my chances of conceiving ever again if I went with it. And I always had dreams of becoming a mother. I couldn't lose that dream just because of a mistake of one night. So I decided to keep it. I had told Rina all that happened and thankfully, she said she still had contacts with the other guy, whom she had slept with that same night. They were friends. Before I went back to my dormitory, I got a text from Rina. It was a link to the stranger's page. Andrew Mccarthy was the username. As I scrolled through his page, it was hard not to peek at his pictures. I spent hours, staring at every image as if I needed to memorise every contour of his face. He was perfect in every way. Sandy blonde hair, light blue eyes, chiseled nose and jaw, perfect height and a physique to die for. I had fucked him once and I still co

  • Widowed By Betrayal   Chapter 1

Lisa KnoxMy hands trembled as I looked at the file in my hand. A divorce? How could he? I quickly held on to the nearest furniture to steady myself. My head was swimming, my vision blurring as I tried to make out the words. I had just had a miscarriage, the blood still dripping down my legs when my husband and love of my life slammed down the envelope and strode out of the house. "This is unfair," I cried, feeling the tears rolling down my cheeks. "Maybe it's because I can't give him a proper child." Angelina, my only sister, who had been sitting at the corner of the bed, arms folded came closer. She pulled me into an embrace as she spoke."It's never your fault. Don't ever blame yourself. Besides, you already have a son for him. Why are you beating yourself up?"I held my trembling lower lip between my teeth as I spoke out. "Sean doesn't like him.""Because he has a disability?" I nodded. "It's not your fault he has cerebral palsy, sister. Don't let that douchebag make you feel
