'Is that all Tom?' this presentation is boring, I would do anything to be out of here. Rather am stuck here as the CEO of Tony's enterprise. 

'No, my assistant will continue.' 

I rolled my eyes internally at his nervous manner, well he should be cause am about to sack him.

'Before she continues, what about project Z'

'It is still being developed.' I gave him a pointed look.

'It should be, my question is where exactly has it gotten?'

'T....the...proj....'

He gulped when he saw the glare I was giving him, how did these idiots get into this company?

'I don't pay you to stutter! I give you five seconds to answer my question'

I was fuming this is an important project, it is actually after my heart.

'We have encountered a slight challenge'

I hummed in response, we are currently the top gaming company in the country. The project is simply to create a game that disabled children can play, especially those that are blind. Ambitious, yes, this company did get here without being ambitious. Take the bold step if it's a success you gain if not oh well.

I looked at the eight people present some already had sweat forming on their foreheads. Good cause some of them are about to lose their job.

'Challenge, that can not be solved and has not been solved for the past three months?'

'y..ye..no..no this project also caused a delay

Incompetent workers, I would have sacked all of them, they are lucky they are in the good books of my father.

'This meeting will continue another time and I want a positive report on project Z and Tom change your presentation it is boring.'

'Yes sir 

This is tiring after an exhausting day with Sarah.

Flashback 

'Hello babe, how are you doing I miss you?' followed by kisses.

'I miss you too, what brings you here' I asked warning James to be silent.

'Can't I visit my fiance again'

'No'

'Yes'

James and I said at the same time.

'Well, I would be traveling soon I thought I could spend some time alone with you.'

'Please get a room am still here.'

'You should be gone, I want to be alone with my man and your presence is distracting.' She adjusted herself on my lap.

'Too bad, we had made plans to visit a client at noon, best you leave.'

This two will give me a headache, let me rephrase they have already given me one.

'Will you both cut it out.' I stared at the two, gosh why do I have children in adult bodies around me?

'He started it.'

'She started it.'

'Can't you both act civil around each other?'/I questioned rubbing my temple.

'Like she is cable of being a lady' James snorted.

'You..' Sarah gasped.

'Cat got your tongue?' He asked wearing a triumphant grin on his face, I wish I could slap it.

'Babe, would you let h talk to me like that, what happened to your face?'

'Nothing'

End of flashback 

'Hail Tony the great' 

I blinked severally to see who interrupted my thought.

'James what do you want?'

I was in no mood for his antics.

'Nothing serious, a penny for your thought'

'Get out'

I told him arranging the document from the table, he can speak to the empty conference too when I leave.

'That seems to be the most you say to me, is that a new thing?'

'No'

'Was the presentation that bad?'

'A disaster.'

'That explains.'

'What are you talking about?'

'Nothing to bother yourself with.'

I decided not to push it may be one of his antics to get me to talk. I wasn't in the mood I had a lot to think about my past I can't remember, a girlfriend I don't know why I love her and the next business I want to invest in.

I had no idea how I was walking to my office but I was glad my legs knew where I needed to be. Luckily James chose to be silent, I guess he could sense I was not in the mood.

'I'm at my office now can you stop following me now?'

'Nope' with that he pushed past me into the office.

'Why did I ask?' I muttered following him.

'Why do you dislike Sarah?' 

That was meant to be my thought, not for your mouth to say.

'For reasons, I best keep to myself you would understand when you recall everything.'

'Here we go again, is it that bad, did I cheat on her or the other way round?

'Let's talk about it some other time, as much as you believe I am following you aimlessly, I do have a purpose.'

'Which is to annoy me.'

'That but not this time I followed you to  give you the report about the business to invest in.' 

'Oh, so what do you have?'

'I looked up some restaurants and bakeries, I found this particular one interesting.'

'Really'

'Yeah, read for yourself.' he pushed the file to me.

'I will pass tell me about it.'

'The restaurant is located in a small town of about 500 population, it has been doing well until recently. According to my source they are in need of financial assistance, you would be surprise to know who rivals them.'

I rolled my eyes at his dramatic pause.

'Won't you ask who?'

'Why should I, you will tell me eventually'

'Uh, you are no fun anyways it is Andrew Goth.'

'Why do I feel like I know that name'

'You do and he has been your rival since high school'

'Really' 

'Yeah, you forgot about him'

'I guess so, I wonder how many important things I have forgotten.'

'Don't give me that face, besides the doctor said you will gain them back its just a matter of time' He tried to console me but we both know, it may not be true.

'It has been two years James, I should at least remember something!'

Times like this make me feel vulnerable and I hate it, I passed my hand through my hair.

'If he is my rival and he is in a different industry how is that a problem?'

'Before you left, you started a restaurant but he sabotaged all your efforts. His father has been trying to buy the company for the last five years.'

'And am now hearing this.'

'You have known it's the reason you left.'

'It does not make sense.'

'That's by the way, I think if we invest in the restaurant it will be profitable.'

'I don't know, if we are rivals I don't want to involve the owner in any feud I have with Andrew.

'We can'back down now, you wanted to start your own company in a different industry. Where is the business man in you?'

'He is still here.'

'Good cause we should expect her to arrive in two days.'

'You have gone ahead to strike a deal without my knowledge.'

Sometimes I don't know who the boss is between us.

I looked at him, he was too quiet he rubbed his hand behind his neck, he was nervous.

'That's the thing, I only told her to come you will have to talk about the contract with her.'

'The owner is a female, she has done well.'

'Yeah, so will you meet her?'

'Do I have a choice?'

'No you don't, I will take my leave.'

'Finally'

'Like you won't miss me see you tomorrow and don't be hard on yourself with time it will come'

I hummed my response, easily said I am the one that has to deal with feeling vulnerable. When would I gain all and who could answer all my questions? 

I looked at the file Laura's resturant, she has a beautiful name. I felt a little disappointed that there was no picture of her after I read the file. The location of the restaurant was good, if she was someone I can walk with the restaurant will be back on it feet.

Laura.. her name rolling off my tongue feels normal. Deciding to know about this woman I googled the name of the restaurant, the information was all about the restaurant. I needed to see a picture if her maybe it will stop this nagging feeling I have.

'Come on' I whispered to the laptoplike it would help.

'Wow' I found a picture of her with some of the staff, she is beautiful.

'I could get use to this'

'Yeah'

'You look ravishing'

The voices kept ringing in my head.

'Don't get any idea I put a lot of effort'

'Fine but I still need my kiss'

The voices in my head didn't stop, I closed the laptop and my eyes. Trying to calm my racing heart and the voices in my head. 

I knew the male voice was mine but who was the lady?

Why did Laura picture trigger that memory?
