​Chapter 7

​It's been three weeks since I last saw them. Three dry weeks. It's good that my life is peaceful, at least. We all have our own lives, and it's better if we don't see each other.

​I'm currently in my office. I've been swamped with work because of my business. Grandpa doesn't visit me much anymore because he knows that I can handle our business better than him. He's living in Romania for good, with his children. Although, they still visit me sometimes for events or important matters.

​As for Aihira, I rarely get to be with her. I mean, of course, she's still on her honeymoon. I just check in on her and tell her stories from time to time.

​"Ate, Mr. Martin is outside. He said that he has an appointment." I stopped when Helia, my younger cousin, who is also my secretary, suddenly spoke. As much as possible, I don't hire people I don't know. It's hard to trust people these days.

​Helia is actually working here part-time. I don't know why, but she doesn't want to rely on her parents, and because I don't want her to have a hard time, I'm secretly paying for her tuition.

​"Let him in, please. Thank you!" She left again. I just continued typing on my laptop. Mr. Martin came in without me looking at him.

​I felt him standing in front of my desk. Doesn't he want to sit down? He cleared his throat, and I looked up at him.

​"Do you have no plans on noticing me?" he asked. Oh, shoot. It's Oliver Martin, one of them. He's wearing a formal suit, and his blonde hair is messy again.

​I just said I don't want to see them, and then he suddenly shows up.

​"My apologies, Mr. Martin. I'm just finishing up what I'm doing." He looked around my office. It's on the 5th floor of our resto-bar, and you can see a clear view of Manila Bay. He turned to me again.

​"Are you always like this when you have an appointment? Can't your attention be on me first before you do that?" he said, and then he smirked.

​I closed my laptop and immediately put the papers on the side of my table. I smiled at him.

​"Happy?" I asked him. The smirk on his lips was still there. He went to the door and locked it.

​"Why did you lock it?" I asked, confused.

​"So there will be no interruptions." He handed me a folder containing some papers. I'm getting nervous about what might happen. I admit, I miss them so much, but I need to stop this.

​"How are you related to Orion Martin?" I asked him. He sat in the chair in front of my desk and looked at me.

​"My older brother, from my dad's side," he answered. That's why they don't look alike. His brother is my boss at the modeling agency I work for.

​If his brother were only here, he would let me do and finish what I was doing. I am a good multitasker. I can listen to someone who's talking and do my work at the same time.

​"So, why are you here and not him?" I asked next.

​"He's busy with his businesses. He asked me if I could give you the files and the contract, and I said yes." Oh, right. I'm going to renew my contract with the Constell Agency (his brother's agency). Time really flies so fast. It's been 5 months since I joined modeling.

​"Why don't I see you there when you have a shoot?" he added. Maybe he just happens to be there when I'm not, and I really don't pay attention to others, or maybe I just wasn't aware that he was there, too.

​"You're probably just bad with timing." I immediately read the contract and then signed it. The Constell Agency has a good offer. They're also one of the famous fashion and modeling agencies. This is where I became known and famous. Modeling is just my part-time job. They're the ones who call me whenever there are gigs. When I have free time, I hang out there and chat with the staff and other models.

​"Maybe..." I handed the folder back to him, and he took it.

​"Do you also work there?" I asked. Based on his looks and body build, he's a perfect fit to become a model.

​"No, I work with Jayce in their Firm and Company. He's a Structural Engineer, and I'm an Architect." Woah, they work together. A good pair.

​He stood up and went behind me. He leaned in, and I felt his breath on my nape.

​"I miss you, Vareen. We missed you so much." He planted small kisses on my nape. I need to stop him. I moved away a bit. It's dangerous, and something might happen again. I'm really trying to avoid them.

​"Why? Didn't you miss us?" he whispered huskily. His hands crept up to my chest, and he started to caress it.

​He stopped when my phone suddenly rang. It was Raze. I immediately answered it. Thinking Oliver would stop, he massaged different parts of my body even more.

​"Vareen!" Raze's voice came through.

​"Uhm... what's... up?" I stammered, trying to hold back a moan.

​"Let's have lunch later. I'll treat you!" He asked from the other line.

​"Boyfriend?" Oliver whispered to me.

​"Ah... Raze, I'm a bit busy... I-I think I cannot go. I'll just have lunch h-here." I gave him an excuse, even though it's my free time.

​"Alright, then. Shit, too bad." I laughed when I heard him curse. I'm sure that guy's lips are pouting again.

​He immediately hung up, and I turned to Oliver.

​I don't know why I made an excuse. I'm not even that busy.

​"Please, Oliver. You can go now." I tried to reason with him. But he didn't mind what I was saying. He trailed his hands down to my legs and massaged them.

​"No, I won't. I'll fuck you first."
